(4) Fr 39 (b) 11 6-71 Gnoli discusses this passage in his Introductlon (P XXXVI, paragraph no d where he mentions this Fragment twice as fr no 27, which is clearly an error The topic, discussed here, is about the figure slışta (that is fleşa) A perusal of this entire fragment produces a strong impression that the commentator bas introduced here a discussion of the famous doctrine 'Arthabhedena tapat Sabda bhidyante. For restoring these lines the following passages from (Hemacandra's) KavyanuFasana and Kalpalataviveka should prove useful श्रुत्यैक्यग्रहण लोकप्रतीतितुल्यत्वपरिग्रहार्थम् । तेन दन्त्यौष्ट्यौष्ठ्यवकारबकारादिवर्ण मेदे लघुप्रयत्नतरालघुप्रयत्नतरकृते च भेदे यमकबन्धो न विरुध्यते । - p 299 1 14-17 And, अयमाशय । वाक्यान्तरप्रतिमा वा [ VL वाक्यार्थान्तरप्रतिभा वा] इति । अलङ्कारान्तरपर्यवसायित्वेनालङ्कारान्तरप्रत्याशया सगृहीताप्युपक्रमावस्थायामलङ्कारान्तरस्याप्रतीतेर्वाक्यार्थान्तरप्रातभा पृथगुपदर्शिता ।- P 258 1 3-7
The two lines of the fragment when restored would read as यत्र तु शब्दानामत्यन्तसरूपाणामपि दन्त्यौष्ठेचलघुप्रयत्नतरकृतो मेदोऽस्ति तत्र वाक्यार्थान्तरप्रतिभा । तथालङ्कारान्तरे वाक्यान्तरे वा प्रतिभोत्पयते ।
(5) Fr 45 (b) 11 5-6 The commentator intends this passage to serve as an introduction to Bbānabe V2 [na corresponding passage from KLV we have all the words of this fragment 10 tact, which fact clearly indicates that the author of KLV bas adopted the passage from BV The passage ruos as follows
