**Translation of the original verses and the commentary called Samaya Vyakhya:**
First, the revered Acharya Amrit Chandra Deva, the destroyer of sin and the bestower of happiness, offers salutations to the Supreme Being, while invoking auspiciousness.
**Meaning of the verse:** Salutations to the Supreme Being, whose inherent joy and consciousness shine brightly, who is the greatest, and whose glory resides in the principle of Anekanta. (1)
