The **Pancastikaya** is the propagator of the **Udasina** motion, just as the **Dharma** is the propagator of the **Udasina** motion of the **Jiva** and **Pudgala** (in the **Gatiparinam**), only as a supporting cause.
And (in relation to **Adharmaastikaya** also, it is like this that) just as a horse, whose **Gati** is **Purvakasthitiparinat**, appears to be the cause of the **Sthitiparinam** of the rider (**Patipurvak**), so **Adharma** is not. It (**Adharma**) being truly inactive, never attains **Gatipurvakasthitiparinam**, so how can it be the cause of the **Gatipurvakasthitiparinam** of others by being co-existent? (It cannot be) But just as the earth is the propagator of the **Udasina** motion of the **Gatipurvakasthiti** only as a supporting cause for the horse (in **Gatipurvakasthitiparinam**), in the same way, **Adharma** is the propagator of the **Udasina** motion of the **Gatipurvakasthiti** only as a supporting cause for the **Jiva-Pudgala** in **Purvakapasadharana**. || 88 ||
