३४. प्रश्न : नरकों में कौन-कौन जीय उत्पन्न नहीं होते ?
कौन-कौन जीव कौन से नरक तक उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं उत्तर : एकेन्द्रिय और विकलत्रय नरकों में उत्पन्न नहीं होते हैं। असंज्ञी पंचेन्द्रिय जीव प्रथम पृथ्वी, पर्यन्त, सरीसृप द्वितीय पृथ्वी, पक्षी तथा मत्स्य तृतीय पृथ्वी, सर्प चतुर्थ पृथ्वी, सिंह पञ्चम पृथ्वी, स्त्री षष्ट पृथ्वी एवं मनुष्य सप्तम पृथ्वी पर्यन्त उत्पन्न होते हैं। .
संहनन की अपेक्षा उत्पत्ति- छह संहनन वाले संज्ञी जीव यदि नरक में उत्पन्न होवें तो मेघा नामक तीसरी पृथ्वी पर्यन्त, असंप्राप्तासृपाटिका संहनन रहित पाँच संहनन वाले अरिष्टा नामक पाँचवीं पृथ्वी पर्यप्त, चार स्रहहन वाले अर्थात् अर्धनाराच संहनन पर्यन्त वाले मघवी नामक छटी पृथ्वी पर्यन्त और वज्रवृषभ नाराच संहनन वाले सातवीं पृथ्वी तक नरकों में जन्म लेते हैं। ३५. प्रश्न : प्रथमादि पृथ्वियों में जीय अधिक से अधिक
कितनी बार उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं ? उत्तर : प्रथमादि पृथ्वियों में ऊपर कथित असंज्ञी आदि जीव उत्कृष्ट रूप से यदि निरन्तर उत्पन्न हों तो आठ, सात, छह, पाँच, चार, तीन और दो बार ही क्रमशः उत्पन्न हो सकते हैं। नरक से निकल कर सीधे नरक में जा सकते हैं, अतः बीच में अन्य पर्याय का अन्तर अपेक्षित रहता है। जैसे- कोई असंज्ञी जीव मरकर
