२६. प्रश्न : नारकियों के उपपाद स्थान (उत्पत्ति स्थान) कहाँ
पर होते हैं एवं उनकी चौड़ाई, ऊँचाई और आकार
कैसा होता है ? उत्तर : नारकियों के उपपाद स्थान बिलों के उपरिम भाग में अनेक प्रकार की तलवारों से युक्त, भीतर गोल और अधोमुखकण्ठ वाले होते हैं।
पहली पृथ्वी से सातवीं पृथ्वी तक के उपपाद स्थानों की चौड़ाई क्रमशः एक कोस, दो कोस, तीन कोस, एक योजन, दो योजन, तीन योजन और सौ योजन प्रमाण है।
ऊँचाई अपनी-अपनी शरीर-अवगाहना से पाँच गुणा है।
