१७. प्रश्न : रत्नप्रभा आदि पृध्वियों में पटलों की संख्या
कितनी है ? उत्तर : रत्नप्रभा पृथ्वी में १३ शर्कराप्रभा में ११, बालुकाप्रभा में ६, पंकप्रभा में ७, धूमप्रभा में ५, तमःप्रभा में ३ और महातम प्रभा में १ पटल है। सातों पृथ्वियों के कुल पटलों की संख्या ४६ है। ये पटल एक दूसरे से संश्लिष्ट हैं। १८. प्रश्न : रत्नप्रभा आदि पृथ्वियों में बिलों की संख्या
कितनी है एवं बिलों की रचना कहाँ पर है ? उत्तर : रत्नप्रभा आदि पृथ्वियों में क्रमशः तीस लाख, पच्चीस लाख, पन्द्रह लाख, दस लाख, तीन लाख, पाँच कम एक लाख एवं मात्र पाँच बिल हैं। __प्रथम पृथ्वी का अपबहुल भाग एवं अन्य पाँच पृथ्वियों में नीचे ऊपर की एक-एक हजार योजन मोटाई छोड़कर बीच में जितने-जितने पटल बने हैं, उनमें अनुक्रम से बिलों की रचना है। सातवीं पृथ्वी आठ हजार योजन मोटी है। इसमें ऊपर और नीचे बहुत मोटाई छोड़कर मात्र मध्य में बिलों की रचना है। ये बिल ही नरक कहलाते हैं। १६. प्रश्न : नरक-पटलों में बिलों का विन्यास किस प्रकार
