१३. प्रश्न : समर्थ कारण किसे कहते हैं ?
- उत्तर : उप्पादान और निमित्त की अनुकूलता को समर्थ कारण . कहते हैं। कार्य की सिद्धि न केवल उपादान कारण से
होती है और न केवल निमित्त कारण से। दोनों की अनुकूलता रूप समर्थ कारण से होती है। एक द्रव्य दूसरे द्रव्य का उपादान कारण नहीं हो सकता, पर निमित्त कारण अवश्य होता है।
१४. प्रश्न : भव्य किसे कहते हैं ?
उत्तर : जिस जीव में सम्यग्दर्शन, सम्यग्ज्ञान और सम्यञ्चारित्र
प्राप्त करने की योग्यता हो उसे भव्य कहते हैं। भव्य जीव ही मोक्ष का पात्र होता है परन्तु मोक्ष प्राप्त हो चुकने के बाद उसमें भव्यत्व भाव नहीं रहता।

उत्तर : नहीं, दूरानुदूर भव्य को मोक्ष प्राप्त नहीं होता। योग्यता
के कारण ही उसको भव्य कहते हैं परन्तु उसे अपनी योग्यता को विकसित करने के लिये कभी निमित्त नहीं मिलते।
