वर्णनमोहनीय का उपशम करके उपशम सम्यक्त्व को प्राप्त होता है,

करके अच्छी-बुरी विविध पर्याय प्राप्त करता है, अथवा जिस कर्म से आत्मा गति आदि नाना पर्यायों को अनुभव करे अथवा शारीर आदि बने,
उसे नामकर्म कहते हैं। नारक-जिनको नरमगति नामकर्म का उदय हो । अथवा जीवों को लेश
पहुँचायें। द्रव्य, क्षेत्र, काल, भाव से जो स्वयं तथा परस्पर में प्रीति को
प्राप्त न करते हों। माराससंहना मामा-जिस कर्म के उदय से हड्डियों की रचना में दोनों
दरफ महंट बंध हो, लेकिन वेठन और कील न हो।
