इसी प्रकार इस जीव के मिथ्यात्व और सम्यग मिथ्यात्व की प्रथम स्थिति के दलिकों का सम्यक्त्व की प्रथम स्थिति के दलिक में स्तिकसंक्रम के द्वारा संक्रमण होता रहता है और सम्यक्त्व की प्रथम स्थिति का प्रत्येक दलिक उदय में आ-आकर निर्जीर्ण होता रहता है। इस प्रकार इसके सम्यक्त्व की प्रथमस्थिति के क्षीण हो जाने पर द्वितीयोपशम सम्यक्त्व की प्राप्ति होती है ।
द्वितीयोपशम सम्यक्त्व के प्राप्त होने के बाद चारित्र मोहनीय की उपशमना का क्रम प्रारम्भ होता है । अतः अब चारित्र मोहनीय के उपशम के क्रम को बतलाते हैं ।
चारित्र मोहनीय की उपशमना
चारित्र मोहनीय का उपशम करने के लिये पुनः यथाप्रवृत्तकरण आदि तीन करण किये जाते हैं। करणों का स्वरूप तो पूर्ववत् है लेकिन इतनी विशेषता है कि यथाप्रवृत्तकरण सातवें अप्रमत्तसंयत गुणस्थान में होता है, अपूर्वकरण आठवें अपूर्वकरण गुणस्थान में और अनिवृत्तिकरण नौवें अनिवृत्तिकरण गुणस्थान में होता है । यहाँ भी अपूर्वकरण और अनिवृत्तिकरण में स्थितिघात आदि पहले के समान होते हैं । किन्तु इतनी विशेषता है कि चौथे से लेकर सातवें गुणस्थान तक जो अपूर्वकरण और अभिवृत्तिकरण होते हैं, उनमें उसी प्रकृति का गुणसंक्रम होता है, जिसके सम्बन्ध में वे परिणाम होते हैं । किन्तु अपूर्वकरण में नहीं बंधने वाली सम्पूर्ण अशुभ प्रकृतियों का गुणसंक्रम होता है। अपूर्वकरण के काल में से संख्यातवाँ भाग बीत जाने पर निद्रा और प्रचला इन दो प्रकृतियों का बंधविच्छेद होता है। इसके बाद जब हजारों स्थितिखंडों का घात हो लेता है, तब अपूर्वकरण का संख्यात बहुभाग काल व्यतीत होता है और एक भाग शेष रहता है। इसी बीच नामकर्म की निम्नलिखित ३० प्रकृतियों का बंधविच्छेद होता है

In the same way, the **dalikas** (sub-categories) of the first state of **mithyatva** (false belief) and **samyag mithyatva** (partially true belief) of this being continue to transition into the **dalikas** of the first state of **samyaktvam** (right belief) through **stikasamkram** (transition of states). Each **dalik** of the first state of **samyaktvam** arises and is destroyed. The nature of these **karans** is the same as before, but with this difference: **yathpravrittakaran** occurs in the seventh **gunasthan** (stage of spiritual development) of **aprammatasanyata** (unwavering restraint), **apuurvakaran** occurs in the eighth **gunasthan** of **apuurvakaran**, and **anivrittikaran** occurs in the ninth **gunasthan** of **anivrittikaran**. Here too, in **apuurvakaran** and **anivrittikaran**, **sthitighāt** (destruction of states) and other aspects are the same as before. However, there is this difference: from the fourth to the seventh **gunasthan**, the **gunasamkram** (transition of qualities) that occurs in **apuurvakaran** and **abhivritikaran** is of the same nature as the **parinam** (results) related to them.
