सप्ततिका प्रकरण भी गुणस्थान में किया जा सकता है किन्तु अपूर्वकरण गुणस्थान में तो नियम से इनका उपशमन हो ही जाता है। ____ गाथा में अनंतानुबंधी चतुष्क आदि सात प्रकृत्तियों के उपशम करने का निर्देश करते हुए पहले अनंतानुबंधी चतुष्क को उपक्षम करने की सूचना दी है अत: पहले इसी का विवेचन किया जाता है । अनंतानुबंधी की उपशमना ____ अनंतानुबंधी चतुष्क की उपशमना करने वाले स्वामी के प्रसंग में बतलाते हैं कि अविरत सम्यग्दृष्टि, देशविरत, विरत (प्रमत्त और अप्रमत्त) गुणस्थानवी जीवों में से कोई भी जीव किसी भी योग में वर्तमान हो अथात् जिसके चार मनोयोग, चार वचनयोग और औदारिक काययोग, इनमें से कोई एक योग हो, जो पीत, पद्म और शुक्ल, इन तीन शुभ लेश्याओं में से किसी एक लेश्या वाला हो, जो साकार उपयोग वाला (ज्ञानोपयोग वाला) हो, जिसके आयुकर्म के बिना सत्ता में स्थित शेष सात कर्मों की स्थिति अन्तःकोड़ा-कोड़ी सागर के भीतर हो, जिसकी चित्तवृत्ति अन्तर्मुहूर्त पहले से उत्तरोत्तर निर्मल हो, जो परावर्तमान अशुभ प्रकृतियों को छोड़कर शुभ प्रकृतियों का ही बंध करने लगा हो, जिसने अशुभ प्रकृतियों के सत्ता में स्थित चतु:स्थानी अनुभाग को द्विस्थानी कर लिया हो और शुभ प्रकृतियों के सत्ता में स्थित द्विस्थानी अनुभाग को चतु:स्थानी कर लिया हो और जो एक स्थितिबंध के पूर्ण होने पर अन्य स्थितिबंध को पूर्व-पूर्व स्थितिबंध की अपेक्षा उत्तरोत्तर पल्य के संख्यातर्फे भाग कम बांधने लगा हो-ऐसा जीव ही अनंतानुबंधीचतुष्क को उपशमाता है ।
