२२३ एक युगल, भय और जुगुप्सा। इस बंधस्थान में तीन वेद और दो युगलों की अपेक्षा छह भंग होते हैं।
पाँच जीवस्थानों में दो बंधस्थान इस प्रकार जानना चाहिये कि पर्याप्त बादर एकेन्द्रिय, पर्याप्त द्वीन्द्रिय, पर्याप्त त्रीन्द्रिय, पर्याप्त चतुरिन्द्रिय और पर्याप्त असंशी पंचेन्द्रिय, इन पांच जीवस्थानों में २२ प्रकृतिक और २१ प्रकृतिक, यह दो बंधस्थान होते हैं। बाईस प्रकृतियों का नामोल्लेख पूर्व में किया जा चुका है और उसमें से मिथ्यात्व को कम कर देने पर २१ प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान हो जाता है। इनके मिथ्यावृष्टि गुणस्थान होता है इसलिये तो इनके २२ प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान कहा गया है तथा सासादन सम्यग्दृष्टि जीव मर कर इन जीवस्थानों में भी उत्पन्न होते हैं, इसलिये इनके २१ प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान बतलाया है। इनमें से २२ प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान के ६ भंग हैं जो पहले बतलाये जा चुके हैं और २१ प्रकृतिक बंधस्थान के ४ भंग होते हैं। क्योंकि नपुंसकवेद का बंध मिथ्याल्बोदय निमित्तिक है और यहाँ मिथ्यात्व का उदय न होने से नपुंसक वेद का भी बंध न होने से. शेष दो वेद-पुरुष और स्त्री तथा दो युमलों की अपेक्षा चार भंग ही संभव हैं।
