Appendix-2
The first difference between the minimum result of the yoga-abode of the one-sensed insentient and the yoga-abode is the infinitesimal part of the universe. There is no owner of these places, as they do not belong to any living being, and this difference arises. Excluding these places, the minimum and maximum result yoga-abodes of the subtle one-sensed and the gross one-sensed insentient should be known to be multiplied by the infinitesimal part of a palya.
There is a second difference above it. That is, the yoga-abodes beyond the maximum result yoga-abode of the gross one-sensed insentient are without an owner. Excluding them, the minimum and maximum result yoga-abodes of the subtle one-sensed and the gross one-sensed sentient should be known to be multiplied by the infinitesimal part of a palya.
Then, there is a third difference before the maximum yoga-abode of this gross sentient. Excluding that, the minimum and maximum ekantanuvriddhi yoga-abodes of the five types of two-sensed insentient, etc. five, should be known to be multiplied by the infinitesimal part of a palya.
After this, there are yoga-abodes of the labhdhyaparyantas and nishcayaparyantas of the five types of living beings, the ekantanuvriddhi yoga-abodes, and the yoga-abodes, along with the intervening differences between them. These three places, both minimum and maximum, should be known to be multiplied by less than the infinitesimal part of a palya in the first manner.
In this way, there are 84 yoga-abodes. In these places, the divisions without distinction follow one after the other, multiplied by the infinitesimal part of a palya.
The Karmaprabandha does not make the three divisions of the yoga-abodes, such as the upapada yoga-abode, etc. Therefore, taking the two divisions of minimum and maximum, there are 28 types of places.
