यह एक सामान्य नियम है किन्तु वेदनीय के सिवाय शेष चार कर्मों में अवक्तव्य और अवस्थित बंध होते हैं। क्योंकि ग्यारहवें गुणस्थान में ज्ञानावरण, अंतराय और गोत्र कर्म का बंध न करके जब कोई जीव वहां से च्युत होता है और नीचे के मुणस्थान में आकर पुनः उन कर्मों का बंध करता है तब प्रथम समय में अवक्तव्य बंध होता है और द्वितीय आदि समयों में अवस्थित बंध होता है तथा विभाग में जब आयु कर्म का बंध होता है तब प्रथम समय में अवक्तव्य बंध होता है और द्वितीय आदि समयों में अवस्थित बंध होता है। किन्तु वेदनीय कर्म में केवल अवस्थित बंध ही होता है, अवक्तव्य बंध नहीं । क्योंकि वेदनीय कर्म का अबन्ध अयोगि केवली गुणस्थान में होता है, किन्तु वहां से गिरकर जीव के नीचे के गुणस्थान में नहीं आने के कारण पुनः वंध नहीं होता है।
इस प्रकार से कर्मों की बंध-योग्य १२० उत्तर प्रकृतियों में बंधस्थानों और उनके भूयस्कर आदि बंधों को बतलाया गया है । जिनका कोष्टक पृष्ठ ११६ पर दिया गया है। प्रकृतिबंध का वर्णन करने के बाद अब आगे की गाथाओं में स्थितिबंध का वर्णन करते हैं। मूल कर्मों का उत्कृष्ट, जघन्य स्थितिबंध

This is a general rule, but except for Vedaniya karma, the remaining four karmas have both Avaktāvya and Avashthit Bandha. Because when a being, without binding the karma of Jnanaavaran, Antaray, and Gotra karma, falls from the eleventh Gunasthan and binds those karmas again in the lower Gunasthan, then in the first instance, it is Avaktāvya Bandha, and in the second and subsequent instances, it is Avashthit Bandha.
