है। मनुष्य स्त्रिय मनुष्य जाति के पुरुषों से सत्ताईसगी' और सताईस अधिक होती हैं । देवियों देवों से बसीसगनी' और पतीस afe होती हैं। इसी कारण पुरुषों से स्त्रियों संख्यातगुण मानी हुई हैं। एकेन्द्रिय से चतुरिन्द्रिय पर्यन्त सब जीव असंज्ञि पञ्चेन्द्रिय और नारक, ये सब नपुंसक ही हैं। इसी से नपुंसक स्त्रियों की अपेक्षा अनन्तगुण माने हुए हैं ॥ ३६ ॥
कषाय, ज्ञान, संयम और दर्शनमार्गणाओं का अल्प--बहुत्व:| तीन गाथाओं से !

मानिनः क्रोधिनो मानिनो, लोभितोऽधिका मनोज्ञाननः स्तोकाः । अवश्रयोऽसंख्यामतिश्रुता, अधिकारसमा असङ्ख्या विभङ्गाः ॥४॥ अर्थ- मानकवायाले अन्य कषायवालों से थोड़े हैं। क्रोधी मानियों से विशेषाधिक हैं। मायावी क्रोधियों से विशेषरधिक है । लोभी मायावियों से विशेषाधिक हैं ।
मन: पर्यायज्ञानी अन्य सब जानियों से थोड़े हैं। अवधिज्ञानी मन: पर्यायज्ञानियों से असंख्यगुण हैं। मतिज्ञानी तथा श्रुतक्षानी आपस में तुल्य हैं । परन्तु अवधिज्ञानियों से विशेषाधिक ही है । विभङ्गज्ञानी शुतज्ञानवालों से असण हैं ॥ ४० ॥
भावार्थ- मान वाले कोष आदि अन्य कषाय वालों से कम हैं, इसका कारण यह है कि मान की स्थिति क्रोध आदि अन्य कषायकी स्थिति की अपेक्षा अल्प है। क्रोध मान की अपेक्षा अधिक देर तक ठहरता है । इसी से क्रोध वाले मानियों से अधिक हैं । माया को स्थिति क्रोध की स्थिति से अधिक है तथा वह क्रोधियों की अपेक्षा

Those who have knowledge of the mind are few compared to all other knowers. Those who have knowledge of perception are infinitely more numerous than those who have knowledge of the mind. Those who have knowledge of intellect and those who have knowledge of scripture are equal to each other, but they are still more numerous than those who have knowledge of perception. Those who have knowledge of the divisions are more numerous than those who have knowledge of scripture. || 40 ||
