७४ कर्मप्रकृतियों का भी बन्ध हो सकता है, अतएव सब मिलाकर ७७ कर्मप्रकृतियों का बन्ध चौथे गुणस्थान में माना जाता है।
ate गुणस्थान में वर्तमान देव और नारक यदि परभव सम्बन्धी आयु का बन्ध करें तो मनुष्यायु और विचायु को बांधते हैं और मनुष्य तथा तिर्यंच देवायु को बाँधते हैं ।
अब पाँचवें देशविरत गुणस्थान में बन्धयोग्य प्रकृतियों की संख्या. उनके नाम और कारण आदि को समझाते हैं ।
पांचवे गुणस्थान में ६७ प्रकृतियों का बन्ध होता है । चाँधे गुणस्थान में जो बन्धयोग्य ७७ प्रकृतियाँ हैं, उनमें से वज्रऋषभनाराचसंहनन, मनुय्यनिक- मनुष्यगति, मनुष्य- आनुपूर्वी और मनुष्यायु, अप्रत्याख्यानावरणचतुहक - अप्रत्याख्यानावरण क्रोध, अप्रत्याख्यानाचरण मान, अप्रत्याख्यानावरण माया, अप्रत्याख्यानावरण लोभ और औदारिकद्विक औदारिकशरीर, औदारिक अंगोपांग इन १० प्रकृतियों का बन्धविच्छेद चौथे गुणस्थान' के अन्त में होने से पाँचवें गुणस्थान में ६७ प्रकृतियों का जन्म होता है ।

पचित्र आदि गुणस्थानों में मनुष्यभवयोग्य कर्मत्रकृतियों का बन्ध न होकर देवभवयोग्य कर्मप्रकृतियों का ही बन्ध होता है। इसलिए मनुष्यगति, मनुष्य आनुपूर्वी और मनुष्यायु ये तीन कर्मप्रकृतियाँ केवल मनुष्यजन्म में तथा वज्रऋषभनाराचसंहनन, औदारिकशरीर और भौदारिक अंगोपांग ये तीन कर्मप्रकृतियाँ मनुष्य या तियंच के जन्म में ही भोगने योग्य होने से इन छह प्रकृतियों का पांचवें आदि गुणस्थानों में बन्ध नहीं होता है ।
