इन चारों कषायों का एक साथ उदय नहीं होता है, किन्तु चारों में से निसी एक का उदय होता है। अनसाधी आदि चारों प्रकार के कपायभेदों में से जिस कषाय प्रकार का उदय होगा, उस सहित आगे के प्रकार भी साथ में रहेंगे, किन्तु पूर्व का नहीं रहेगा। जैसे अप्रत्याख्यानावरण कषाय प्रकार का उदय होने पर उस सहित प्रत्याख्यानावरण, सञ्चलन प्रकारों का उदय हो सकता है, किन्तु अनन्तानुबन्धी कपाय का नहीं होगा। इसी प्रकार प्रत्याख्यानावरण, संज्वलन कषाय प्रकार के बारे में भी समझ लेना चाहिए।
कषायों के बन्धहेतुओं का कथन करने के बाद अब नोकषायों के बन्ध के बारे में बतलाते हैं कि हास्यादि नोकषायों में व्याकुल चित्तवाला जीव हास्यादि छह नोकषायों को बांधता है, जैसे कि
(क) भांडो-जैसी चेष्टा करने वाला, दूसरो की हंसी उड़ाने वाला, बकवाद करने वाला जीव हास्यमोहनीय कर्म का बन्ध करता है ।
(स) चित्र-विचित्र दृश्यों को देखने में रुचि रखने, उनके प्रति उत्सुकता दशनि आदि की वृत्तियुक्त जीव रतिमोहनीयकर्म को बाँधता है।
(ग) ईर्ष्यालु, पापी, दुसरा को दुखी करने वाला, बुरे कर्मों के लिए दूसरों को उत्साहित करने वाला जीव अरतिमोहनीयकर्म को बन्ध करता है।
(घ) स्वयं डरने वाला, दूसरों को भय पैदा करने वाला, नास देने वाला, निर्दय जीव भयमोहनीयकर्म को बांधता है।
() स्वयं शोकग्रस्त रहने वाला और दूसरों को भी शोक उत्पन्न करने वाला जीव शोकमोहनीय कर्म का बन्ध करता है।
(च) चतुर्विध संघ की, सदाचार आदि की निन्दा करने वाला, घणा करने वाला जुगुप्सामोहनीयकर्म का बन्ध करता है ।
