प्रथम कर्मग्रन्थ
गाथार्थ - क्रोधादि कषायों और हास्यादि नोकषायों तथा विषयों में अनुरक्त जीव दोनों प्रकार के चारित्रमोहनीय कर्म का बंध करते हैं तथा बहु-आरम्भी, बहुपरिग्रही और रौद्र परिणामवाला जीव नरक आयु का बंध करता है ।

विशेषार्थ - गाथा में चारित्रमोहनीय कर्म के कषाय और नोकपायमोहनीय तथा आयुकर्म के चार भेदों में से नरकाय के बंध कारणों को बतलाया है। पहले चारित्रमोहनीय के दोनों प्रकार के बंध कारणों को बतलाते हैं ।
चारित्रमोहनीयकर्म कषाय आर नोकषाय के भेद से दो प्रकार का है । कषायमोहनीय के सोलह तथा नोकषायमोहनीय के कषायोदयअनित नो भेद जो पहले कहे हैं, उनका जीव के तीव्र परिणामों से बन्ध होता है और पृथक पृथक् कषायों के बन्ध के बारे में इस प्रकार समझना चाहिए
(१) अनन्तानुबन्धी क्रोध, मान, माया और लोभ के उदय से व्याकुल मन वाले जीव अनन्तानुबन्धी, अप्रत्याख्यानावरण, प्रत्याख्यानावरण और संज्वलन कषायों के सोलह भेदों का बन्ध करते हैं ।
(२) अप्रत्याख्यानावरण चतुष्क के उदय से पराधीन हुआ जीव अप्रत्याख्यानावरण, प्रत्याख्यानावरण और संज्वलन कोचादि बारह कषायों को बाँधता है ।
(३) प्रत्याख्यानावरण चतुष्क के उदय से ग्रस्त जीव प्रत्याख्यानावरण व संज्वलन क्रोधादि आठ कषायों को बांधता है ।
( ४ ) संज्वलन चतुष्क युक्त जीव सिर्फ संज्वलन क्रोधादि चार कषायों का बन्ध करता है ।
