(१०) कर्मसहित को कर्मरहित मानना | भक्तों की रक्षा और दैत्यों का नाश करना राग-द्वेष के बिना नहीं हो सकता, तथापि उन्हें कर्मों में रहित मानना 'भगवान सब कुछ करते हुए भी अलिप्त हैं ऐसा कपन करना ।
इस प्रकार दर्शनमोहनीय के भेदों का कथन करने के अनन्तर अब आगे की गाथा में चारित्रमोहनीय कर्म के भेदों का वर्णन करते हैं ।

सोलस कसाय नव नोकसाय दुबिहं चरितमोहणियं । अप्पच्चक्खाणा पचवाणा ग्र संजलणा ॥ १७ ॥ गाथार्थ - चारित्रमोहनीय के दो भेद है - कषाय- मोहनीय और नोकषायमोहनीय। उनमें से कषायमोहनीय के सोलह और नोकसायमोहनीय के नौ भेद होते हैं। अनन्तानुबन्धी, अप्रत्याख्यानावरण, प्रत्याख्यानावरण और संज्वलन इनके चार-चार भेद होने से कषायों के सोलह भेद होते हैं ।

विशेषार्थ चारित्रमोहनीय के मुख्य रूप से कषाय और नोकषाय ये दो भेद होते हैं। इनके लक्षण, भेद आदि को क्रमशः निम्न प्रकार समझना चाहिए |
कषाय - जो आत्मा के गुणों को कधे (नष्ट करे ) । अथवा कष का अर्थ है जन्म-मरण-रूप संसार, उसकी आय अर्थात् प्राप्ति जिससे
