औत्पातिको बुद्धि' – जिस बुद्धि के द्वारा पहले बिना सुने, बिना जाने हुए पदार्थों के विशुद्ध अर्थ, अभिप्राय को तत्काल ग्रहण कर लिया जाता है, उसे औत्पातिकी बुद्धि कहते हैं। इस प्रकार की बुद्धि किसी प्रसंग पर कार्यसिद्धि करने में एकाएक प्रकट होती है । ___ बनयिकी बुद्धि - यह गुरुजनों आदि की सेवा मे प्राप्त होने वाली बुद्धि होती है ! कई बुद्धि कार्यरवहन करों में कामर्थ होती है और इहलोक व परलोक में फल देने वाली होती है । ____फर्मजा बुद्धि - उपयोगपूर्वक चिन्तन, मनन और अभ्यास करतेकरते प्राप्त होने वाली बुद्धि को कर्मजा बुद्धि कहते हैं। ___ पारिणामिकी बुद्धि-दीर्घायु के कारण बहुत काल तक संसार के अनुभवों से प्राप्त होने वाली बुद्धि को पारिणामिकी बुद्धि कहते हैं । यह बुद्धि अनुमान, हेतु, दृष्टान्त आदि से कार्य को सिद्ध करने वाली
और लोकहित करने वाली होती है। ___इस प्रकार मतिज्ञान का विवेचन पूर्ण हुआ । यद्यपि मतिज्ञान और श्रुतज्ञान - दोनों सहवर्ती हैं, तथापि पहले मतिज्ञान और उसके अनन्तर १. पुब्वमदिठमस्मय मवेइ य तरखणविसुद्धगहियस्था । अम्बाहयफलजोगा बुद्धी उत्पत्तिया भाम ॥
