गया होगा। इसका कारण यह है कि यदि इसकी उस समय रचना की गई होती. जन कि मथुगके जैनी सावधानीपूर्वक अपने दानको खवच कगते थे, तो हमके निर्माताओंका भी नाम शनय ज्ञात रहता' ।" म्यजियम मयुराकी दूसरी रिपोर्ट में लिखा है कि मयूराके कफालीटीलामें ईसामे भी राधी पूर्वको महत्वपूर्ण जैन मामग्री उपलब्ध होती है। मथुरायो जैन और बौद्ध स्तूपोंकी गदृश्यसाके संबंध में डा० बलर (Dr. Buhler} या कथन है कि-'इस सादृष्यका कारण मम्भवत: यह नहीं है कि एक सम्प्रदारवालोंने अन्य सम्प्रदायको नकल की हो किन्तु दोनों सम्प्रदायोंने भारत की राष्ट्रीय कलाको अपनाया और इस कार्य के लिए दोनोंने उन्हीं कारीगरोंको रमला ।" वह सदृश्यता कंकालीटीलाके जैनस्थल तथा दुसरे बुझ स्थलों में उपलब्ध संभोसे प्रगट होनी है । इस संबंधम मथुरा म्यजियमके भूतपूर्व मयूरेटर डा. वासुदेवशरण पह लिखते हैं कि "प्राचीनताको दष्टिमे बौद्ध कलाके समान जन-कला भी है। जमा कि कंफाली टीलाके शिलालेखोंसे सूचित होता है कि ईमाये दो मदो पूर्व वहाँ जैन स्तूपका अद्भाव था।"

ption was incised, its origin had been forgotlen. On the evidence of its character the date of the iscription may be referred with certainty to the Ircio-Scythian era a:d is equivalent A. D. SO. The stupa trust therefore have been built several centuries before the beginning of the christian era, for the name of its builders would assuredly have been known, if it had been erected during the period, when the Jains of Muttra carefully kept record of their donations."
