शङ्का - 'अधस्तने भ्यः' अर्थात् पहले कही हुई आयुको आदिकरके कर्म के स्थितिबन्धाध्यवसायस्थान और बादमें कहे हुए कर्मोके स्थितिबन्धाध्यवसायस्थान असंख्यातगुणे क्यों
समाधान - स्वभावसे ही असंख्यातगुणे हैं। शंका- मिथ्यात्व, असंयम व कषायरूप प्रत्ययों से सर्वकर्म समान हैं अतः इन कर्मोंके अध्यवसायस्थान असंख्यातगुणे हैं यह घटित नहीं होता, तथा पहले कहे हुए आयुआदि कर्मोंके स्थितिबंधस्थानोंसे इनके पश्चात् कहे हुए कर्मोके स्थितिबंधस्थान अधिक हैं अतः असंख्यातगुणेरूप हैं यह बातभी सिद्ध नहीं है, क्योंकि अधस्तन-अधस्तन कर्मोका स्थितिबंधस्थानके योग्य कषायोंसे उपरितन २ कर्मोंके अधिक बंधस्थानके योग्य असदृशकषायोदयस्थानों की अनुपलब्धि होनेसे असंख्यातगुणत्वकी अनुपपत्ति है। समाधान- यह कोई दोष नहीं है, क्योंकि अधस्तनउदयस्थानोंसे उपरितनकर्मोंका उदयस्थान बहुत होनेसे असंख्येयगुणपनेका विरोध नहीं है। सारांश यह है कि अपने-अपने उदय से होने वाले आत्मा के परिणामों का नाम स्थितिबन्धाध्यवसाय स्थान है। सो आयु आदि कर्मों के उदयस्थानों से नाम आदि कर्मों के उदयस्थान बहुत हैं, इससे असंख्यातगुणे कहे हैं। आगे जघन्यादिस्थितिकी अपेक्षा स्थितिबंधाध्यवसायस्थानोंका प्रमाण कहते हैं
अवरट्ठिदिबंधज्झवसाणट्ठाणा असंखलोगमिदा ।
अहियकमा उकस्सट्टिदिपरिणामोत्ति णियमेण ॥९४९ ॥ अर्थ - जघन्यस्थितिके बन्धाध्यवसायस्थान असंख्यातलोकप्रमाण हैं जो उत्कृष्ट-स्थितिपर्यन्त क्रमसे अधिक-अधिक होते गए हैं।
विशेषार्थ - संज्ञीपञ्चेन्द्रियके विवक्षित मोहनीयकर्मकी स्थिति जम्मन्य तो अन्तः कोटाकोटीसागर अर्थात् संख्यातपल्य है और उत्कृष्टस्थिति ७० कोड़ाकोड़ीसागरप्रमाण है। जघन्यस्थितिसे उत्कृष्टस्थिति संख्यातगुणी हैं। उत्कृष्टमेंसे जघन्यको घटाने पर जो शेष रहे उप्समें एक मिलानेपर जो प्रमाण हो उतने स्थितिके भेद हैं। इन भेदोंमें सबसे जघन्यस्थितिबन्धके कारण जो अध्यवसायस्थान (परिणामोंके स्थान) हैं वे असंख्यातलोकप्रमाण हैं। इससे आगे उत्कृष्टस्थितिपर्यन्त एक-एक चय क्रमसे अधिक-अधिक नियमसे जानने चाहिए।
अहियागमणणिमित्तं, गुणहाणी होदि भागहारो दु।
दुगुणं दुगुणं वही, गुणहाणिं पडि कमेण हवे ।।९५० ।। अर्थ - विवक्षित गुणहानिमें अधिकरूप चयका प्रमाण लानेके लिए अन्तिम निषेकमें दोगुणहानिका
