उपर्युक्त सन्दृष्टिमें-- १ से १६ तककी संख्या अधःप्रवृत्तकरणके समयोंकी सूचक है।
कोष्ठकके भीतरकी संख्या निर्वर्गणाकाण्डककी सूचक है। प्रत्येक निर्वर्गणाकाण्डक चार समयोंका हैं। १-४० आदि संख्या उस-उस समयके जघन्यपरिणामकी विशुद्धिसंख्या सूचक है। १६२-२०५ आदि संख्या उस-उस समय के उत्कृष्टपरिणामकी विशुद्धिसंख्या सूचक है। जघन्यसे जघन्य, जघन्यसे उत्कृष्ट, उत्कृष्टसे जघन्य और उत्कृष्टसे उत्कृष्ट प्रत्येक अनन्तगुणीविशुद्धिसे वृद्धिंगत है।
अधःप्रवृत्तकरणमें केवल प्रतिसमय अनन्तगुणीविशुद्धिसे विशुद्ध होता है, किन्तु उन विशुद्धियोंमें स्थितिकाण्डकघात, अनुभागकाण्डकघात, गुणश्रेणि और गुणसंक्रम करनेकी समर्थता नहीं है। जो अप्रशस्त कर्मप्रकृतियाँ बंधती हैं वे समय-समयमें द्विस्थानीय अनन्तगुणीहीन शक्तिसे युक्त दाँधती है और जो प्रशस्त प्रकृतियाँ बँधी है वे समय-समयमें चतुःस्थानीय अनन्तगुणी अनुभागशक्तिसे युक्त बँधती हैं। एक-एक स्थितिबन्धके पूर्ण होनेपर पल्योपमके संख्यातवेंभागसे हीन अन्य-अन्य स्थितिबन्धको बाँधना आरम्भ करता है। अध:प्रवृत्तकरणके प्रथमसमयमें ही उससे अनन्तरपूर्व अधस्तनसमयमें होनेवाले तत्प्रायोग्य अन्त:कोडाकोड़ीप्रमाण स्थितिबन्धसे पल्योपमके संरख्यातवेंभागहीन अन्य स्थितिबन्धको प्रारम्भ करता है। पुन: इस स्थितिबन्धको अन्तर्मुहूर्त कालतक अवस्थितरूपसे बाँधनेवालेके उसका बन्धकाल क्षीण हो जाता है। पुन: उससे पल्योपमके संख्यातवेंभागप्रमाण न्यून अन्य स्थितिबन्धका आरम्भकर उसे भी अन्तर्मुहूर्तकालतक अवस्थितरूपसे बाँधता है। इसक्रमसे स्थितिबन्धके पुनः पुनः पूर्ण होनेपर पल्योपमका संख्यातवाँभागप्रमाण हीन बन्ध करता हुआ अधःप्रवृत्तकरणकालके भीतर संख्यातहजार स्थितिबन्धापसरण करता है।
