नोट - मूलगाथाका सारांश यह है कि एक-एक आयुकी अपेक्षासे तीन-तीन भंग होते हैं, जिसगतिमें जितनी आयुका बन्ध हो उस बध्यमान आयुकी संख्याको ३ भंगोंसे गुणा करनेपर सर्वभंगोंकी संख्या निकल जाती है।
जिसगतिमें जितनी आयुका बन्ध हो उसमेंसे १ कम करनेसे शेष पुनरुक्त भंग रह जाते हैं अथवा सर्वभंगोंमेंसे पुनरुक्तभङ्गोंको घटानेपर शेष अपुनरुक्तभंग रहते हैं। जैसे- भुज्यमानदेवायुमें मनुष्यतिर्यञ्चायुका बन्ध होता है अर्थात् २४३-६ भंग हुए। देवगतिमें २ आयुका बन्ध है उसमेंसे १ कम करनेपर १ पुनरुक्तभंग होता है उसको घटानेसे ६-१-५ अपुनरुक्तभंग जानना ।
