अनिवृत्तिकरणगुणस्थानवाला श्रेणी चढ़ते हुए सूक्ष्मसाम्परायको और उतरते हुए अपूर्वकरण एवं मरण होनेपर देव असंयतको; सूक्ष्मसाम्परायगुणस्थानवी चढ़ते हुए उपशान्तकषायको तथा उतरते हुए अनिवृनिकरणको, मरण होनेपर देव असंयतको; उपशान्तकषायगुणस्थानवर्ती उतरते हुए सूक्ष्मसाम्परायको, मरण होनेपर देव असंयतको प्राप्त होता है। क्षपकश्रेणीमें चढ़ना ही है उतरना नहीं इसलिए अपूर्वकरणगुणस्थानवाला अनिवृत्तिकरणगुणस्थानको अनिवृत्तिकरणवाला सूक्ष्मसाम्परायको तथा सूक्ष्मसाम्परायगुणस्थानवर्ती क्षीणकषायका, क्षाणकषायगुणस्थानवाला सयोगीगुणस्थानको, सयोगी अयोगीगुणस्थानको, अयोगी सिद्धपदको प्राप्त होते हैं। मिथ्यादृष्टि देव मिश्र व असंयतगुणस्थानको, सासादनवाला मिथ्यात्वको, मिश्रगुणस्थानवर्ती मिथ्यात्व और असं यतगुणस्थानको तथा असंयतगुणस्थानवाला मिथ्यात्व-सासादन और मिश्रगुणस्थानको प्राप्त होता है।
अथानन्तर किस-किसगुणस्थानवाले जीव मरणको प्राप्त नहीं होते यह कहते हैंमिस्सा आहारस्स य, खवगा चडमाणपढमपुव्वा य। पढमुवसम्मा तमतमगुणपडिवण्णा य ण मरंति ॥५६० ।। अणसंजोजिदमिच्छे, मुहुत्त अंतं तु णत्थि मरणं तु। किदकरणिज्जं जाव दु, सव्वपरट्ठाण अट्ठपदा॥५६१ ।। जुम्मं ।।'
अर्थ- मिश्रगुणस्थानवर्ती, आहारकमिश्रकाययोगी, क्षपकश्रेणीवाले, उपशमश्रेणी चढ़ते हुए अपूर्वकरणगुणस्थानके प्रथमभागवर्ती, प्रथमोपशमसम्यक्त्वी, सप्तमनरकके द्वितीय, तृतीय और चतुर्थगुणस्थानवर्तीजीव मरणको प्राप्त नहीं होते। अनन्तानुबन्धी का विसंयोजनकर मिथ्यात्वको प्राप्त जीवका अन्तर्मुहूर्तपर्यन्त मरण नहीं होता तथा दर्शनमोहमीयका क्षय करनेवाला जीव जबतक कृतकृत्यवेदक होता है तबतक मरण नहीं करता। कृतकृत्यता होनेके पश्चात् ही मरण करता है। अथवा जबतक कृतकृत्यवेदक है तबतक मरण नहीं होता।
