गुणहानिमें कहा वह गुणहानि - गुणहानि प्रति आधा-आधा होता है। जैसे - ( ६४ | ३२/१६) । " अंतधणं गुणगुणियं आदिविहीणं" इस सूत्र से ( अन्तधन को गुणकार २ से गुणा कर आदिधन को घटाना । ) अन्तधन ६४ (अधस्तन प्रथम गुणहानि के निषेकों में ऋण का प्रमाण) को गुणकार दो से गुणा करनेपर ६४x२= १२८ और आदि (१६ अधस्तन अन्तिम गुणहानि के निषेकों में ऋण का प्रमाण) घटाने पर १२८-१६=११२, सो यह अधस्तनगुणहानियों में ऋण का प्रमाण होता है अथवा गुणहानिआयाम के प्रमाण से अधस्तन अन्तिमगुणहानि में विशेष ( चय) के प्रमाण ४ का गुणा करने पर जो लब्ध आवे उतना यवमध्य के प्रमाण में से घटाने पर जो शेष रहे उतना ऋणरूप द्रव्य जानना । तद्यथा- गुणहानिआयाम ४ में अधस्तन अन्तिमगुणहानि के विशेष ( चय) का गुणा किया तो ( ४×४ ) = १६ लब्ध आया, यवमध्य (१२८) में से घटाने से १२८-१६= ११२ शेष रहे सो यह सर्वऋण का प्रमाण है तथा ६४+३२+१६=११२ यह अधस्तनगुणहानि के प्रथमनिषेक का द्रव्य जानना एवं अधस्तन व उपरितनसर्वगुणहानियों के सर्वद्रव्य को " अंतधणं गुणगुणियं" इत्यादि सूत्र से [ अर्धस्तन गुणहानि सम्बन्धी सर्वद्रव्य -- अन्तधन अर्थात् अधस्तन प्रथम गुणहानि सम्बन्धी द्रव्य ( यवमध्य के प्रमाण (१२८) को एक अधिक तिगुणे गुणहानि आयाम (१३) से गुणा करने पर एवं गुणहानि आयामका भाग देने पर १२८×१३ = ३२×१३ } ४१६ में गुणकार २ का गुणा करने पर ६४×१३ = ८३२ हुआ। इसमें से आदि धन अर्थात् अस्तन अंतिम गुणहानि सम्बन्धी द्रव्य (एक कम नाना गुणहानि प्रमाण २ का भाग प्रथम गुणहानि के द्रव्य में देने पर ४१६ ÷ ( २x२ ) = १०४ घटाने पर ८३२ - १०४ = ७२८} उपरितन गुणहानिसम्बन्धी द्रव्य में अन्तधन ऊपर बताये अनुसार १२८x१३ = ४१६, गुणकार २ से गुणा करने पर ८३२ हुआ। इसमें से आदिधन ४१६ ÷ ( २x२x२x२- एक कम नाना गुणहानिप्रमाण) = २६ को घटाने पर ८३२-२६-८०६ ] ७२८+८०६ को जोड़ने पर १५३४ द्रव्य हुआ । इस लब्धराशि में से ऋणरूपद्रव्य (११२) घटाने पर १५३४- १२२ = १४२२ शुद्ध द्रव्य होता है। यहाँ गुणहानि के प्रत्येक निषेक में से घटाए हुए विशेष ( चय) का प्रमाण, योगों के स्थान रूप निषेकों में जीवों का प्रमाण एवं गुणहानि में सर्वद्रव्य का प्रमाण और अधस्तनगुणहानि में उपरितनगुणहानि से जितना द्रव्य कम है, वह ऋण का प्रमाण है।
