ही जघन्यस्पर्धकशलाकाएँ जघन्यस्थानमें पाई जाती हैं। इसलिए जघन्य स्थान में तत्प्रायोग्य श्रेणी के असंख्यातवें भाग मात्र जघन्य स्पर्धक हैं, ऐसा ग्रहण करना चाहिए ।
आगे इसी विषय में और भी विशेष कथन की प्रतिज्ञा आचार्य करते हैं.

एदेसिं ठाणाणं, जीवसमासाण अवरवरविसयं । चउरासीदिपदेहिं, अप्पाबहुगं परूवेमी ॥ २३२ ॥
अर्थ - ये जो योगस्थान कहे हैं उसनमें १४ जीवसमासों के जघन्योत्कृष्ट की अपेक्षा तथा “चकार” से उपपादिक तीन प्रकार के योगों की अपेक्षा ८४ स्थानों में अब अल्पबहुत्वका कथन करेंगे।

विशेषार्थ - सबसे प्रथम अल्पस्थानको बताकर फिर क्रमशः वृद्धिंगतस्थानों का कथन करना अल्पबहुत्वकथन है। चौदह जीवसमासों का योगाविभागप्रतिच्छेदअल्पबहुत्व तीन प्रकार है १. स्वस्थान २. परस्थान ३. सर्वपरस्थान | इनमें सर्वपरस्थान अल्पबहुत्व जघन्य, उत्कृष्ट और जघन्योत्कृष्टके भेद से तीनप्रकार का है। आगे ८ गाथाओं से १४ जीवसमासों के योगाविभागप्रतिच्छेदसम्बन्धी सर्वपरस्थानके जघन्योत्कृष्ट अल्पबहुत्व को कहेंगे ।
उसे ही कहते हैं -
सुहुमगलद्धिजहणणं, तण्णिवत्तीजहण्णयं तत्तो । लद्धि अपुण्णुक्कसं, बादरलद्धिस्स अवरमदो ॥ २३३ ॥ णिव्यत्तिसुहुमजेडं, बादरणिव्वत्तियस्स अवरं तु । बादरलद्धिस्स वरं, बीइंदियलद्धिगजहण्णं ।। २३४ ।।
बादरणिव्वत्ति वरं, णिव्वत्तिबिइंदियस्स अवरमदो । एवं बितिबितितिचतिचचउविमणो होदि चउविमणो ।। २३५ ।।
तह य असण्णीसण्णी, असण्णिसण्णिस्स सण्णिववादं । सुहुमेइंदियलद्धिगअवरं एयंतवस्सि ॥ २३६ ॥
