अथानन्तर निषेक का लक्षण कहते हैं -
आबाहूणियकम्मट्ठिदि णिसेगो दु सत्तकम्माणं।
आउस्स णिसेगो पुण सगट्ठिदी होदि णियमेण ॥१६०॥ अर्थ - अपनी-अपनी कर्मस्थिति में से आबाधाकाल को घटाने से जो काल शेष रहे उस काल । के समयों का प्रमाण आयुबिना सातकर्मों के निषेक हैं। आयुकर्म के निषेक अपनी स्थितिप्रमाण होते हैं ऐसा नियमसे जानना।
विशेषार्थ - आयुबिना सातकर्मों की निषेकरचना आबाधाके बिना कर्मस्थिति प्रमाण जानना!! प्रतिसमय जो कर्मपरमाणुओं का समूह है वह एक निषेक है। इस प्रकार विवक्षित कर्म की जितनी स्थिति बंधी है उसमें से आबाधाकालको घटाने पर जो काल शेष रहे उसके समयों का जो प्रमाण हो वही निषेकों का प्रमाण जानना। इस प्रकार सातकर्मों की निषेकरचना जाननी तथा आयुर्मकी जितनी स्थिति हो वही निषेकों का प्रमाण जानना । यहाँ आबाधा नहीं घटाना, क्योंकि आयुकर्म की आबाधा तो पूर्वभव में ही पूर्ण हो गई, पीछे जो पर्याय धारण की वहाँ आयुकर्म की स्थिति जितने समय है उन सर्वस्मयों में पहले समय से अन्तसमय पर्यन्त प्रतिसमय एक-एक निषेक क्रम से खिरते हैं अतः आयुकर्म की जितनी स्थिति हो उतने समयों का जो प्रमाण है वही आयुकर्म के निषेकों का प्रमाण जानना। अब निषेकों का क्रम कहते हैं -
आबाहं बोलाविय पढमणिसेगम्मि देय बहुगं तु।
तत्तो विसेसहीणं विदियस्सादिमणिसेओत्ति॥१६१॥ अर्थ - आबाधाकाल को छोड़कर जो अनन्तर समय है वह प्रथमगुणहानिका प्रथमनिषेक है उसमें बहुत द्रव्य दिया जाता है और दूसरे निषेक से दूसरी गुणहानि के प्रथमनिषेकपर्यन्त चयरूप हीनक्रम से द्रव्य दिया जाता है।
