Gommatsar Karmakanda-102
Special Meaning - 47 Dhruvbandhi Prakṛtis are excluded, from the remaining 73 Prakṛtis, Tirthankara, Aharakdvig, Parghāt, Ucchvās, Ātap, Udyot and Chārāyu, these eleven Prakṛtis are Apratipakṣi, because they have no counter-part. These Prakṛtis bind in the time they bind and do not bind in the time they do not bind. For example - Tirthankara Prakṛti binds in the time it binds. The remaining 62 Prakṛtis are Sapratipakṣi, because they have counter-part Prakṛtis. Only one binds at a time, for example - Sātāvedanīya, Asātāvedanīya, these two are counter-parts to each other. In Mohaniya, Rati-Arati are counter-parts, Hāsya-Śoka are counter-parts; all three Vedas are mutually Prānte-dhash. Only one of them binds at a time. In Nāmakarma, four Gatis are counter-parts, five Jātis are counter-parts to each other. Only one of them binds at a time, both do not bind together.
The soul has results of Sanklesha and Viśuddhi, through these Sanklesha and Viśuddhi results, Sātā-Asātāvedanīyakarma and Purusha, Stri-Napumsaka-veda etc. bind and change. Due to this, sometimes one Prakṛti binds and sometimes another Prakṛti binds.
Further, why are these Adhruv Prakṛtis called Sādi and Adhruvbandha? In response to this, the Gāthā says -
Avaro Bhiṣaṇamuhutto Titthāhārāṇ Savvāūṇam.
Samao Chāvattīṇam Bandho Tamhā Dudhā Sesā. ||126||
Meaning - The time of continuous binding of Tirthankara, Aharakdvig and Chārāyu, these seven Prakṛtis, is from Jghana to Antarmūhūrta, the time of continuous binding of the remaining 66 Prakṛtis is from Jghana to one Samaya. After this, their binding stops. Therefore, Sādi and Adhruvbandha is proven in these 73 Prakṛtis. In this way, understand the nature of Prakṛtibandha.
