तीनों संख्याओं को जोड़ने से (३+५६० ) ६६ प्राप्त होते हैं । अतः 'घ्राणेन्द्रिय के वशीभूत मानी राजकथालापी निद्रालु और स्नेहवान्' यह ६८ व आलाप है। द्वितीय उदाहरण इस प्रकार है---
'चक्षुइन्द्रिय के वशीभूत लोभी स्त्रीकथालापी निद्रालु स्नेहवान्' इस आलाप की संख्या ज्ञात करनी है । चक्षु इन्द्रिय पर संख्या चार, लोभकषाय पर संख्या पन्द्रह और स्त्रीकथा पर शून्य है । इन तीनों को जोड़ने से ( ४ / १५ + ० ) १६ प्राप्त होते हैं। अतः 'चक्षु इन्द्रिय के वशीभूत लोभी स्त्रीकालापी निद्रालु स्नेहवान्' यह १६ व आलाप है। इसी प्रकार अन्य भी नष्ट-उद्दिष्ट ज्ञात कर लेने चाहिए ।
द्वितीय प्रस्तार की अपेक्षा नष्ट व उद्दिष्ट ज्ञात करने का यंत्र
इगि बि-ति-च-य-च-उ-वारं ख- सोल-राग- ट्ठदाल-चउसट्ठि । संठविय पमदठाणे, गठ्ठद्दट्ठे च जारा तिट्ठा ||४४ ||
गाथार्थ - प्रथम पंक्ति में एक, दो, तीन व चार: द्वितीय पंक्ति में शून्य, चार, आठ, बारह् और तृतीय पंक्ति में शून्य, सालहू, बत्तीस, अड़तालीस व चौंसठ स्थापित करने ( लिखने) चाहिए । इन तीन स्थानों के द्वारा प्रमाद सम्बन्धी नष्ट व उद्दिष्ट जानने चाहिए || ४४ ॥ ॥

जिन श्रों को या शून्य को परस्पर जोड़ने में विवक्षित संख्या प्राप्त हो, उन ग्रङ्कों को ज्ञात कर उन अकों पर या शुन्य पर प्रमाद का जो-जो भेद हो, वही प्रमाद का आलाप है । इतनी विशेषता है कि उसके आगे निद्रालु व स्नेहवान् भी लगा लेना चाहिए ।
इस यंत्र को स्पष्ट करते हुए नष्ट ज्ञात करने के लिए प्रथम उदाहरण देते हैं- प्रतीसवाँ आलाप ज्ञात करना है। बत्तीस, चार व दो को परस्पर (३२+४+२= ) जोड़ने से ३८ प्राप्त होते हैं । दो के प्र पर भोजनकथा, चार के श्र पर मानकषाय और बत्तीस पर घ्राणेन्द्रिय है | अतः अड़तीसवां बालाप - 'भोजनकथालापी मानी घ्राणेन्द्रिय के वशीभूत निद्रालु व स्नेहवान्' होगा ।
नष्ट ज्ञान करने के लिए दूसरा उदाहरण इस प्रकार है-सोलहवाँ श्रालाप ज्ञात करना है । चार, बारह और शुन्य इन तीनों को जोड़ने से ( ४+१२+०) १६ होते हैं। चार के प्रङ्क पर राजकथा, बारह अङ्क पर लोभकषाय और शून्य पर स्पर्शनेन्द्रिय है | अतः १६वा आलाप-राजकथालागी लोभी स्पर्शनेन्द्रिय के वशीभूत निद्रालु व स्नेहवान् " है ।

Those numbers or zero which, when added together, give the desired number, should be known. The carelessness that corresponds to those numbers or zero is the Alap of carelessness. The special feature is that 'sleepy and affectionate' should also be added to it.

To clarify this device, we give the first example to know the lost: We need to know the 32nd Alap. Adding thirty-two, four, and two together (32 + 4 + 2 = ) we get 38. Two corresponds to food talk, four corresponds to pride kṣaya, and thirty-two corresponds to the olfactory sense. Therefore, the 38th Alap is 'the one who talks about food, is proud, is under the influence of the olfactory sense, is sleepy and affectionate'.
