कल्यव्यवहार प्रकीर्णक-कल्प्य नाम योग्य का है और व्यवहार नाम प्राचार का है। योग्य प्राचार का नाम कल्प्यव्यवहार है । साधुओं को पीछी, कमण्डलु, कवली (ज्ञानोपकरण विशेष)
और पुस्तकादि जो जिस काल में योग्य हो उसकी प्ररूपणा करता है तथा अयोग्य-सेवन और योग्यसेवन न करने के प्रायश्चित्त की प्ररूपणा करता है।
कल्प्याकल्प्य प्रकीर्णक-द्रव्य-क्षेत्र-काल और भाव की अपेक्षा मुनियों के लिए यह योग्य है और यह अयोग्य है, इस तरह इन सबका कथन करता है ।४ साधुनों के जो योग्य है और जो योग्य नहीं है उन दोनों की ही, द्रव्य-क्षेत्र और काल का प्राश्रय कर, प्ररूपणा करता है। साधुओं के और असाधुओं के जो व्यवहार करने योग्य है और जो व्यवहार करने योग्य नहीं है इन सबका द्रव्य, क्षेत्र, काल और भाव का आश्रय कर कल्प्याकल्प्य प्रकीर्णक कथन करता है।
महाकल्प्य प्रकीर्णक-दीक्षा-ग्रहण, शिक्षा, आत्मसंस्कार, सल्लेखना और उत्तमस्थानरूप आराधना को प्राप्त हुए साधुओं के जो करने योग्य है, उसका द्रव्य, क्षेत्र, काल और भाव का प्राश्रय लेकर प्ररूपण करता है। काल और संहनन का आश्रयकर साधनों के योग्य द्रव्य और क्षेत्र आदि का वर्णन करता है। उत्कृष्ट संहननादि विशिष्ट द्रव्य, क्षेत्र, काल और भाव का आश्रय लेकर प्रवृत्ति करने वाले जिनकल्पी साधुनों के योग्य त्रिकाल योग आदि अनुष्ठान का और स्थविरकल्पी साधुओं की दीक्षा, शिक्षा, गणपोषण, प्रात्मसंस्कार, सल्लेखना आदि का विशेष बर्णन है। भरत ऐरावत और विदेह तथा वहाँ रहने वाले तिर्यत्र व मनुष्यों के, देवों के एवं अन्य द्रव्यों के भी स्वरूप का छह कालों का आश्रय कर निरूपण करता है।
पुण्डरीक प्रकीर्णक-भवनवासी, वानव्यन्त र, ज्योतिष्या, कल्पवासी और बमानिक सम्बन्धी इन्द्र और सामानिक आदि में उत्पत्ति के कारण भूत दान, पूजा, शील, तप, उपवास, सम्यक्त्व, संयम और अकामनिर्जरा का तथा उनके उपपाद स्थान और भवनों का वर्णन करता है। अथवा छ से विशेषित देव, असुर और नारकियों में तिर्यंच व मनुष्यों की उत्पत्ति की प्ररूपणा करता है। इस काल में तिर्यंच और मनुष्य इन कल्पों व इन पृथिवियों में उत्पन्न होते हैं, इसकी यह प्ररूपणा करता है। यह अभिप्राय है।
