मर जाने, कोई घर व कुटुम्बीजनों के आग में जल जाने से दुःखी है। मनुष्यगति में यह जीव इसप्रकार क्षुधा तृषा आदि के नाना दुःख सहन करता हुआ भी अपनी बुद्धि को धर्म में नहीं लगाता और गृह व व्यापार सम्बन्धी चारम्भों को नहीं छोड़ता । संमार में आज जो धनवान है वह कल धनहीन afrat देखा जाता है और जो धनहीन है वह अनेक ऐश्वर्य व सम्पदा से युक्त देखा जाता है, राजा से सेवक बन जाता है और सेवक नरनाथ ( राजा ) हो जाता है, शत्रु मित्र बन जाता है। जैसे रामचन्द्रजी का मित्र विभीषण बन गया था। मित्र शत्रु हो जाता है जैसे रावण का शत्रु विभीषण हो गया था । यह सब विचित्रता पुण्य-पाप कर्मोदय के कारण होती है। यह सब कुछ प्रत्यक्ष देखने और अनुभव करते हुए भी इस जीव को संसार शरीर और भोगों से विरक्तता नहीं प्राती यह बड़े प्राश्चर्य की बात है ।

यद्यपि मनुष्य, मनुष्य पर्याप्त व मनुष्यनी संख्यात हैं, किन्तु लब्ध्यपर्याप्त मनुष्य असंख्यात हैं। अतः सामान्य मनुष्य भी असंख्यात हैं जिनकी संख्या इसप्रकार प्राप्त की जा सकती है सूच्यंगुल के प्रथम वर्गमूल को उसके ही तृतीय वर्गमूल से गुणित करने पर जो लब्ध प्राप्त हो उसे शलाका रूप से स्थापित कर रूपाधिक मनुष्यों और रूपादिक मनुष्य अपर्याप्तों द्वारा जगश्रेणी अपहृत होती है ।" इसका अभिप्राय यह है कि सूच्यंगुल के प्रथम वर्गमूल को सूच्यंगुल के तृतीय वर्गमूल से गुणा करने पर जो गुणनफल प्राप्त हो उस गुग्गुणनफल से जगश्रेणी को भाजित करने पर जो भागफल प्राप्त होता है वह सामान्य मनुष्यों की संख्या से एक अधिक है। इसमें से पर्याप्तमनुष्यों व मनुष्यनियों की संख्या कम कर देने से लच्ध्यपर्याप्त मनुष्यों की संख्या प्राप्त होती है।

समाधान- - चूंकि जगणी कृतयुग्म राशिरूप है, मनुष्यराणि तेजोजरूप है, इसलिए उसमें रूप का प्रक्षेप किया जाता है ।

मनुष्यगति में एक जीव के निरन्तर रहने का उत्कृष्टकाल ४७ पूर्वकोटि अधिक तीन पयोग प्रमाण है । जो जीव प्रविवक्षित पर्याय से आकर मनुष्यगति में उत्पन्न हुआ और ४७ पूर्वकोटि तक कर्मभूमिज मनुष्यों के तीनों वेदों में परिभ्रमण करके दान देकर अथवा दान का अनुमोदन करके तीन पत्योपम प्रयुस्थिति वाले भोगभूमिज मनुष्यों में उत्पन्न हुआ उस जीव के यह उत्कृष्ट कान प्राप्त होता है । 3
कम से कम क्षुद्रभवग्रहण काल तक मनुष्य का मनुष्यगति से अन्तर होता है, क्योंकि मनुष्यगति से निकलकर तिर्यचगति में उत्पन्न हो क्षुद्रभव काल तक रहकर पुनः मनुष्यगति में उत्पन्न होने सेक्षुद्रभवकाल का जधन्य अन्तर पाया जाता है। अधिक से अधिक प्रसंख्यात पुद्गलपरिवर्तन प्रमाण अनन्तकाल तक मनुष्य का मनुष्यगति से अन्तर होता है, क्योंकि मनुष्यगति से निकलकर एकेन्द्रियादि तिर्यचगति में प्रावली के प्रसंख्यातवें भाग प्रमाण मुद्गलपरिवर्तन प्रमाण काल तक भ्रमण कर पुनः मनुष्यगति में उत्पन्न होने वाले जीव के यह उत्कृष्ट अन्तरकाल पाया जाता है । *
