गाथार्थ-जिन जीवों की जघन्य अवगाहना का पहले कथन किया गया है और अनन्तर उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना का जहाँ-जहाँ कथन किया गया है उनके मध्य में जितने भी भेद हैं उन सबका मध्य के स्थानों में अन्तर्भाव हो जाता है ।।११२।।
विशेषार्थ -विवक्षित जीव की जघन्य अवगाहना कहाँ है और उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना कहाँ है? तथा जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना के मध्य में अन्य कितने स्थान हैं ? इसको एक दष्टि में सरलता पूर्वक ध. पू. ११ पृ.७१ पर मत्स्य रचना द्वारा बताया गया है। उसके अनुसार यहाँ वह संदृष्टि संलग्न की जा रही है। इस मत्स्य रचना में प्रथम १६ अवगाहना स्थान त्रिसमयवर्ती पाहारक और त्रिसमयवर्ती तद्भवस्थ लब्ध्यपर्याप्तक जीवों की जघन्य अबगाहना के हैं। लब्ध्यपर्याप्तक की उत्कृष्ट प्रवगाहना से निर्वस्यपर्याप्तक की उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना विशेष अधिकता के बिना असंख्यातगुणी पायी जाती है इसलिए लब्ध्यपर्याप्तकों की उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना को ग्रहण नहीं किया। जो जीव अनन्तरसमय में पर्याप्त होने वाला है उस निर्व त्यपर्याप्तक के उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना होती है। जो पर्याप्त होने के प्रथम समय में वर्तमान है तथा जघन्य उपपादयोग और जघन्य एकान्तानुवृद्धियोग से आकर जघन्य परिणामयोग व जघन्य अवगाहना में रहने वाला है उस पर्याप्त के जघन्य अवगाहना होती है। उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना में वर्तमान व परम्परा पर्याप्ति से पर्याप्त उत्कृष्ट योग वाले पर्याप्त जीव के उत्कृष्ट अवगाहना होती है।"
