अष्टाविंशतितमं पर्व
शार्दूलविक्रीडितम् तत्रोद्रोषितमङ्गलैर्जयजयेत्यानन्दितो वन्दिभिर्गत्वातः शिबिरं नृपालयमहाद्वारं समासादयन् । . 'अन्तर्वशिकलोकवारवनितादत्ताक्षताशासनः प्राविक्षन्निजकतनं निधिपतिर्वातोल्लसत्केतनम् ॥२०॥
वसन्ततिलका देवोऽयमक्षततनुर्विजिताब्धिरागात् ते यूयमानयत साक्षतसिद्धशेषाः । आशीघमाध्वमिह संमुखमेत्य तूर्णमित्युत्थितः कलकलः कटके तदाभूत् ॥२१०॥ जीवेति नन्दतु भवानिति वर्धिषीष्ठाः देवेति निर्जयरिपूनिति गां जयेति । त्वं "स्ताच्चिरायुरिति कामितमाप्नुहीति पुण्याशिषां शतमलम्भि तदा स वृद्धैः ॥२११॥ जीयादरीनिह भवानिति निर्जितारिदेव प्रशाधि वसुधामिति सिद्धरत्नः । खं जीवताच्चिरमिति प्रथमं चिरायुरायोजि मङ्गलधिया पुनरुक्तवाक्यः ॥२१२॥ देवोऽयमम्बुधिमगाधमलङ्घयपारमुल्लङ्घय लब्धविजयः पुनरप्युपायात् । पुण्यकसारथिरिहेति विनान्तरायः पुण्य प्रसेदुषि नृणां किमिवारत्यलवयम् ॥२१३॥
रहे हैं ऐसा वह भरत अपनी छावनीके बाहरवाली तोरणभूमिपर आ पहुँचा ॥२०८।। वहाँपर जय जय इस प्रकार मंगलशब्द करते हुए बन्दीजन जिन्हें आनन्दित कर रहे हैं ऐसे वे महाराज भरत छावनीके भीतर जाकर राजभवनके बड़े द्वारपर जा पहुँचे वहाँ परिवारके लोगों तथा वेश्याओंने उन्हें मंगलाक्षत तथा आशीर्वाद दिये। इस प्रकार निधियोंके स्वामी भरतने जिसपर वायुके द्वारा ध्वजाएँ फहरा रही हैं ऐसे अपने तम्बू में प्रवेश किया ॥२०९।। जिन्होंने शरीरमें कुछ चोट लगे बिना ही समुद्रको जीत लिया है ऐसे ये भरत महाराज आ गये हैं, इसलिए तुम मंगलाक्षतसहित सिद्ध तथा शेषाक्षत लाओ, तुम आशीर्वाद दो और तुम बहुत शीघ्र सामने जाकर खड़े होओ इस प्रकार उस समय सेनामें बड़ा भारी कोलाहल उठ रहा था ॥२१०॥ हे देव, आप चिरकाल तक जीवित रहें, समृद्धिमान् हों, सदा बढ़ते रहें, आप शत्रुओंको जीतिए, पृथिवीको जीतिए, आप चिरायु रहिए और समस्त मनोरथोंको प्राप्त कीजिए - आपकी सब इच्छाएं पूर्ण हों इस प्रकार उस समय वृद्ध मनुष्योंने भरत महाराजके लिए सैकड़ों पवित्र आशीर्वाद प्राप्त कराये थे ॥२११।। यद्यपि भरतेश्वर शत्रुओंको पहले ही जीत चुके थे तथापि उस समय उन्हें आशीर्वाद दिया गया था कि देव, आप शत्रुओंको जीतिए, यद्यपि उन्होंने चौदह रत्नोंको पहले ही प्राप्त कर लिया था तथापि उन्हें आशीर्वाद मिला था कि हे देव ! आप पृथिवीका शासन कोजिए, और इसी प्रकार वे पहले ही से चिरायु थे तथापि आशीर्वाद में उनसे कहा गया था कि हे देव, आप चिरकाल तक जीवित रहें - चिरायु हों। इस प्रकार मंगल समझकर लोगोंने उन्हें पुनरुक्त ( कार्य हो चुकनेपर उसी अर्थको सूचित करनेके लिए फिरसे कहे हुए ) वचनोंसे युक्त किया था ॥२१२।। एक पुण्य ही जिनका सहायक है ऐसे महा

१ कञ्चुको । 'अन्तवंशिका अन्त.पुराधिकारिणः ।' 'अन्त.पुरेष्वधिकृतः स्यादन्तर्वशिको जनः' इत्यभिधानात् । २ आशीर्वचनः । ३ आशिषं कुरुध्वम् । ४ भुवम् । ५ भव । ६ याहि । ७ शासु अनुशिष्टी लोट् । ८ उपागमत् । ९ प्रसन्ने सति ।

There, cheered by the auspicious sounds of "Victory! Victory!" and the joyous cries of the captives, King Bharata, having returned from his campaign, reached the great gate of his camp. He was welcomed by the members of his family and the courtesans, who showered him with auspicious grains and blessings. Thus, the Lord of Treasures, Bharata, whose banners fluttered in the wind, entered his own tent. [20]

"Bring auspicious grains, Siddha and Sesha grains, for this King, who has conquered the ocean without a scratch on his body!" "Give blessings!" "Come quickly and stand before him!" Such was the clamor that arose in the camp at that time. [210]

"May you live long, O King!" "May you prosper!" "May you conquer your enemies!" "May you conquer the earth!" "May you live long and fulfill all your desires!" Thus, the elders showered King Bharata with hundreds of auspicious blessings. [211]

Although King Bharata had already conquered his enemies and obtained the fourteen jewels, he was still blessed with these words. Even though he was already long-lived, he was again blessed with the words, "May you live long, O King!"
