मेखलायां द्वितीयस्यां 'वरिवस्यन् महाध्वजाम् । प्रापद् गन्धकुटीं चक्री न्यक्कृतत्रिजगच्छ्रियम् ॥ २५ ॥ देवदानवगन्धर्वसिद्धविद्याधरेडितम् । भगवन्तमथालोक्य प्राणमद् भक्तिनिर्भरः ॥ २६ ॥ स्तुत्वा स्तुतिभिरीशानमभ्यर्च्य च यथाविधि । निषसाद यथास्थानं धर्मामृतपिपासितः " भक्त्या प्रणमतस्तस्य भगवत्पादपङ्कजे । विशुद्धिपरिणामाङ्ग मवधिज्ञानमुभौ ॥२८॥ पीत्वाऽथो धर्मपीयूषं परां तृप्तिमवापिवान् । स्त्रमनोगतमित्युच्चैर्भगवन्तं व्यजिज्ञपत् ॥ २९ ॥ मया सृष्टा द्विजन्मानः श्रावकाचारचुञ्चवः । त्वद्गीतोपासकाध्यायसूत्रमार्गानुगामिनः ॥ ३० ॥ एकायेकादशान्ता दत्तान्येभ्यो मया विभो । व्रतचिह्नानि सूत्राणि गुणभूमिविभागतः ॥ ३१ ॥ विश्वस्य धर्मस्य त्वयि साक्षात्प्रयेतरि । स्थिते मयातिवालिश्यादि दमाचरितं विभो ॥ ३२ ॥ दोषः कोऽत्र गुणः कोऽत्र किमेतत् साम्प्रतं न वा । दोलायमानमिति मे मनः स्थापय निश्चितौ ॥३३॥ अपि चाद्य मया स्वप्ना निशान्ते षोडशेक्षिताः । प्रायोऽनिष्टफलाश्चैते मया देवाभिलक्षिताः ॥ ३४ ॥ यथामुपन्यस्येतानिमान् परमेश्वरः । यथास्वं तत्फलान्यस्मत्प्रतीतिविषयं ४ नय ॥ ३५ ॥ सिंहो मृगेन्द्र पोतश्च तुरगः करिभारभृत्" । छागा वृक्षलतागुल्मशुष्कपत्रोपभोगिनः ॥३६॥ शाखामृगा द्विपस्कन्धमारूढाः कौशिकाः खगैः । विहितोपद्रवा ध्वाङ्क्षैः प्रमथाच प्रमोदिनः ॥३७॥ कुटीके पास जा पहुँचे ॥ २५ ॥ वहाँपर भक्तिसे भरे हुए भरतने देव, दानव, गन्धर्व, सिद्ध और विद्याधर आदिके द्वारा पूज्य भगवान् वृषभदेवको देखकर उन्हें नमस्कार किया ||२६|| महाराज भरत उन भगवान्की अनेक स्तोत्रोंके द्वारा स्तुति कर और विधिपूर्वक पूजा कर धर्मरूप अमृतके पीनेकी इच्छा करते हुए योग्य स्थानपर जा बैठे ||२७|| भक्तिपूर्वक भगवान्‌के चरणकमलोंको प्रणाम करते हुए भरतके परिणाम इतने अधिक विशुद्ध हो गये थे कि उनके उसी समय अवधिज्ञान उत्पन्न हो गया ||२८|| तदनन्तर धर्मरूपी अमृतका पान कर वे बहुत ही सन्तुष्ट हुए और उच्च स्वरसे अपने हृदयका अभिप्राय भगवान् से इस प्रकार निवेदन करने लगे ॥ २६ ॥ कि हे भगवन्, मैंने आपके द्वारा कहे हुए उपासकाध्याय सूत्रके मार्गपर चलनेवाले तथा श्रावकाचार में निपुण ब्राह्मण निर्माण किये हैं अर्थात् ब्राह्मण वर्णकी स्थापना की है ||३०|| हे विभो, मैंने इन्हें ग्यारह प्रतिमाओके विभागसे व्रतोंके चिह्न स्वरूप एकसे लेकर ग्यारह तक यज्ञोपवीत दिये हैं ||३१|| हे प्रभो, समस्त धर्मरूपी सृष्टिको साक्षात् उत्पन्न करनेवाले आपके विद्यमान रहते हुए भी मैंने अपनी बड़ी मूर्खतासे यह काम किया है || ३२ || हे देव, इन ब्राह्मणोंकी रचना में दोष क्या है ? गुण क्या है ? और इनकी यह रचना योग्य हुई अथवा नहीं ? इस प्रकारै झूलाके समान झूलते हुए मेरे चित्तको किसी निश्चयमें स्थिर कीजिए अर्थात् गुण, दोष, योग्य अथवा अयोग्यका निश्चय कर मेरा मन स्थिर कीजिए ||३३|| इसके सिवाय हे देव, आज मैंने रात्रिके अन्तिमभाग में सोलह स्वप्न देखे हैं और मुझे ऐसा जान पड़ता है कि स्वप्न प्रायः अनिष्ट फल देनेवाले हैं ||३४|| हे परमेश्वर, वे स्वप्न मैंने जिस प्रकार देखे हैं उसी प्रकार उपस्थित करता हूँ । उनका जैसा कुछ फल हो उसे मेरी प्रतीतिका विषय करा दीजिए ॥ ३५॥ (१) सिंह, (२) ' सिंहका बच्चा, (३) हाथीके भारको धारण करनेवाला घोड़ा (४) वृक्ष, लता और झाड़ियोंके सूखे पत्ते खानेवाले बकरे, (५) हाथी के स्कन्धपर बैठे हुए
