आदिपुराणम्
नमः शब्दपरौ चेतौ चतुर्थ्यन्त्या व नुस्मृतौ । ततो गणधरायेति पदं युक्तनमः पदम् ॥४२॥ परमर्षिभ्य इत्यस्मात्परं वाच्यं नमो नमः । ततोऽनुपमजाताय नमो नम इतीरयेत् ॥ ४३ ॥ सम्यग्दष्टिपदं चान्ते बोध्यन्तं द्विरुदाहरेत् । ततो भूपतिशब्दश्च नगरोपपदः पतिः ॥४४॥ द्विर्वाच्यताविमौ शब्दौ बोध्यन्तौ मन्त्रवेदिभिः । मन्त्रशेषोऽप्ययं तस्मादनन्तरमुदीर्यताम् ॥ ४५॥ कालश्रमणशब्दं च द्विरुक्त्वाऽऽमन्त्रणे ततः । स्वाहेति पदमुच्चार्य प्राग्वरकाम्यानि चोद्धरेत् ॥ ४६॥
चूर्णि: - सत्यजाताय नमः, अर्हज्जाताय नमः, निर्ग्रन्धाय नमः, वीतरागाय नमः, महाव्रताय नमः, त्रिगुप्ताय नमः, महायोगाय नमः, , विविधयोगाय नमः, विविधर्द्धये नमः, अङ्गवराय नमः, पूर्वधराय नमः, गणधराय नमः, परमर्षिभ्यो नमो नमः, अनुपमजाताय नमो नमः, सम्यग् सम्यग्दृष्टे भूपते भूपते नगरपते नगरप कालश्रमण कालश्रमण स्वाहा, सेवाफलं षट्परमस्थानं भवतु, अपमृत्युविनाशनं भवतु, समाधिमरणं भवतु ।
मुनिमन्त्रोऽयमाम्नातो मुनिभिस्तत्त्वदर्शिभिः । वक्ष्ये सुरेन्द्रमन्त्रं च यथा स्माहार्ष भी श्रुतिः ॥ ४७ ॥ प्रथमं सत्यजाताय स्वाहेत्येतत्पदं पठेत् । ततः स्यादर्हज्जाताय स्वाहेत्येतत्परं पदम् ॥ ४८ ॥
धर्द्धये नमः' ( अनेक ऋद्धियोंको धारण करनेवालेके लिए नमस्कार हो ) ऐसा उच्चारण करना चाहिए । इसी प्रकार जिनके आगे नमः शब्द लगा हुआ है ऐसे चतुर्थ्यन्त अंगधर और पूर्वधर शब्दोंका पाठ करना चाहिए अर्थात् 'अङ्गधराय नमः' अंगोंके जाननेवालेको नमस्कार हो) और पूर्वधराय नमः' ( पूर्वोके जाननेवालों को नमस्कार हो ) ये मन्त्र बोलना चाहिए । तदनन्तर 'गणधराय नमः' ( गणधरको नमस्कार हो ) इस पदका उच्चारण करना चाहिए ॥ ४१-४२ ॥ फिर परमर्षिभ्यः शब्दके आगे नमो नमः का उच्चारण करना चाहिए अर्थात् 'परमर्षिभ्यो नमो नमः' ( परम ऋषियोंको बार-बार नमस्कार हो ) यह मन्त्र बोलना चाहिए और इसके बाद 'अनुपमजाताय नमो नमः' ( उपमारहित जन्मधारण करनेवालेको बार-बार नमस्कार हो ) इस मन्त्रका उच्चारण करना चाहिए ||४३|| फिर अन्त में सम्बोधन विभक्त्यन्त सम्यग्दृष्टि पदका दो बार उच्चारण करना चाहिए। और इसी प्रकार मन्त्रोंको जाननेवाले द्विजोंको सम्बोधनान्त भूपति और नगरपति शब्दका भी दो-दो बार उच्चारण करना चाहिए । तदनन्तर आगे कहा जानेवाला मन्त्रका अवशिष्ट अंश भी बोलना चाहिए । कालश्रमण शब्दको सम्बोधन विभक्ति में दो बार कहकर उसके आगे स्वाहा शब्दका उच्चारण करना चाहिए और फिर यह सब कह चुकनेके बाद पहले के समान काम्यमन्त्र पढ़ना चाहिए ॥ ४४-४६ ॥ इन सब ऋषिमन्त्रोंका संग्रह इस प्रकार है :
'सत्यजाताय नमः, अर्हज्जाताय नमः, निर्ग्रन्थाय नमः' वीतरागाय नमः, महाव्रताय नमः, त्रिगुप्ताय नमः, महायोगाय नमः, विविधयोगाय नमः, विविधर्द्धये नमः, अङ्गधराय नमः पूर्वधराय नमः, गणधराय नमः, परमर्षिभ्यो नमो नमः, अनुपमजाताय नमो नमः, सम्यग्दृष्टे सम्यग्दृष्टे भूपते भूपते नगरपते नगरपते कालश्रमण कालश्रमण स्वाहा, सेवाफलं षट्परमस्थानं भवतु, अपमृत्युविनाशनं भवतु, समाधिमरणं भवतु ।
तत्त्वोंके जाननेवाले मुनियोंके द्वारा ये ऊपर लिखे हुए मन्त्र मुनिमन्त्र अथवा ऋषिमन्त्र माने गये हैं । अब इनके आगे भगवान् ऋषभदेवको श्रुतिने जिस प्रकार कहा है उसी प्रकार में सुरेन्द्र मन्त्रोंको कहता हूँ ॥४७॥
प्रथम ही मैं 'सत्यजाताय स्वाहा' ( सत्यजन्म लेनेवालेको हवि समर्पण करता हूँ ) यह पद पढ़ना चाहिए, फिर 'अर्हज्जाताय स्वाहा' ( अरहन्त के योग्य जन्म लेनेवालेको हवि १ वदन्ति स्म । २ ऋषभप्रोक्ता ।
