इति निर्द्धा कार्यज्ञान् कार्ययुक्तौ विविक्तधीः । प्राहिणोत्स निसृष्टार्थान् दूताननुजसंनिधिम् ॥ ८९ ॥ गत्वा च ते यथोद्देशं दृष्ट्वा तांस्तान्यथोचितम् । जगुः संदेशमीशस्य तेभ्यो दूता यथास्थितम् ॥९०॥ अथ ते सह संभूय कृतकार्यनिवेदनात् । दूतानित्यूचुरारूढप्रभुत्वमदकर्कशाः ॥ ९१ ॥ यदुक्तमादिराजेन तत्सत्यं नोऽभिसंमतम् । गुरोरसं निधौ पूज्यो ज्यायान्भ्राताऽनुजैरिति ॥ ९२॥ प्रत्यक्षो गुरुरस्माकं प्रतपत्येष विश्वदृक् । स नः प्रमाणमैश्वर्यं तद्विर्तीर्णमिदं हि नः ॥९३॥ तदत्र गुरुपादाज्ञा तन्त्रा' न स्वैरिणो वयम् । न देयं भरतेशेन नादेयमिह किंचन ॥ ९४ ॥ यत्तु नः संविभागार्थं मिदमामन्त्रणं कृतम् । चक्रिणा तेन सुप्रीता प्रीणा वयमागलात् ॥ ९५ ॥ इति सत्कृत्य तान्दृतान् सन्मानैः प्रभुवत्प्रभौ । विहितोपायनाः " सद्यः प्रतिलेखैर्व्यसर्जयन् ॥९६॥ दूतसात्कृतसन्मानाः प्रभुसात्कृतवीचिकाः" । गुरुसात्कृत्य तत्कार्यं प्रापुस्ते गुरुसंनिधिम् ॥९७॥ गत्वा च गुरुमद्राक्षुर्मितोचितपरिच्छदाः । महागिरिमिवोत्तुङ्गं कैलासशिखरालयम् ॥९८॥ प्रणिपत्य विधानेन प्रपूज्य च यथाविधि । व्यजिज्ञपन्निदं वाक्यं कुमारा मारविद्विषम् ॥ ९९॥ त्वत्तः स्मो लब्धजन्मानस्त्वत्तः प्राप्ताः परां श्रियम् । त्वत्प्रसादैषिणो देव त्वत्तो नान्यमुपास्महे ॥१००॥ उनकी कुटिलताकी परीक्षा करूँगा । इस प्रकार निश्चय कर कार्य करनेमें जिसकी बुद्धि कभी भी मोहित नहीं होती ऐसे चक्रवर्तीने कार्यके जाननेवाले निःसृष्टार्थ दूतोंको अपने भाइयोंके समीप भेजा ।। ८८-८९ ॥ उन दूतोंने भरतके आज्ञानुसार जाकर उनके योग्यरीतिसे दर्शन किये और उनके लिए चक्रवर्तीका सन्देश सुनाया ॥९०॥ तदनन्तर प्राप्त हुए ऐश्वर्य के मदसे जो कठोर हो रहे हैं ऐसे वे सब भाई दूतोंके द्वारा कार्यका निवेदन हो चुकनेपर परस्पर में मिलकर उनसे इस प्रकार वचन कहने लगे ॥ ९१ ॥ कि जो आदिराजा भरतने कहा है वह सच है और हम लोगोंको स्वीकार है क्योंकि पिताके न होनेपर बड़ा भाई ही छोटे भाइयोंके द्वारा पूज्य होता है ॥९२॥ परन्तु समस्त संसारको जानने-देखनेवाले हमारे पिता प्रत्यक्ष विराजमान हैं। वे ही हमको प्रमाण हैं, यह हमारा ऐश्वर्य उन्हींका दिया हुआ है ॥ ९३ ॥ | इसलिए हम लोग इस विषय में पिताजी के चरणकमलोंकी आज्ञाके अधीन हैं, स्वतन्त्र नहीं हैं । इस संसार में हमें भरतेश्वरसे न तो कुछ लेना है और न कुछ देना है || ९४ ॥ तथा चक्रवर्तीने हिस्सा देनेके लिए जो हम सबको आमन्त्रण दिया है अर्थात् बुलाया उससे हम लोग बहुत सन्तुष्ट हुए हैं और गले तक तृप्त हो गये हैं ।। ९५ ।। इस प्रकार राजाओंकी तरह योग्य सन्मानोंसे उन दूतोंका सत्कार कर तथा भरतके लिए उपहार देकर और बदलेके पत्र लिखकर उन राजकुमारोंने दूतोंको शीघ्र ही बिदा कर दिया ।। ९६ ।। इस प्रकार जिन्होंने दूतोंका सन्मान कर भरतके लिए योग्य उत्तर दिया है ऐसे वे सब राजकुमार, पूज्य पिताजीका दिया हुआ कार्य उन्हींको सौंपने के लिए उनके समीप पहुँचे ||९७|| जिनके पास परिमित तथा योग्य सामग्री है ऐसे उन राजकुमारोंने किसी महापर्वतके समान ऊँचे और कैलासके शिखरपर विद्यमान पूज्य पिता भगवान् वृषभदेवके जाकर दर्शन किये ॥ ९८ ॥ उन राजकुमारोंने विधिपूर्वक प्रणाम किया, विधिपूर्वक पूजा की और फिर कामदेवको नष्ट करनेवाले भगवान् से नीचे लिखे वचन कहे ॥ ९९|| हे देव, हम लोगोंने आपसे ही जन्म पाया है, आपसे ही यह उत्कृष्ट विभूति पायी है और अब भी आपकी प्रसन्नता की इच्छा रखते हैं, हम लोग आपको छोड़कर और किसीकी उपासना नहीं

Thus, the Cakravartin, whose intellect is never deluded in the matter of work, sent forth the messengers, whose purpose was fulfilled, to his brothers. || 89 || Having gone there as directed, they saw them and, as was proper, delivered the message of the king to them. || 90 || Then, after the report of their mission was completed, those brothers, who were hardened by the pride of their acquired power, said to the messengers: || 91 || "What the Adiraja, Bharata, has said is true and acceptable to us, for in the absence of a father, the elder brother is worthy of worship by the younger brothers. || 92 || But our father, who sees all the worlds, is present before us. He is our authority, and this power of ours is his gift. || 93 || Therefore, in this matter, we are subject to the command of our father's feet, and we are not independent. We have nothing to take or give from or to Bharatesvara. || 94 || And the invitation that he has given us for the purpose of division, that is, the summons, has made us very happy and satisfied. || 95 || Thus, having honored the messengers with due respect, like kings, and having given them gifts and letters in return, those princes immediately sent them away. || 96 || Having honored the messengers and given a suitable reply to Bharata, those princes, who were devoted to their father, went to him to deliver the task entrusted to them by him. || 97 || Having gone there, they saw their father, who was adorned with appropriate ornaments, like the great mountain, the abode of the peak of Kailasa. || 98 || Having prostrated themselves before him in accordance with the rules and having worshipped him as was proper, those princes declared to the Lord, the destroyer of Kamadeva: || 99 || "We have been born of you, and we have obtained this supreme prosperity from you. We desire your favor, and we worship none other than you. || 100 ||
