आदिपुराणम्
चक्रध्वजाः सहस्रारैश्चक्रैरुत्सर्पदंशुभिः । बभुर्भानुमता सार्द्धं स्पर्धा कर्तुमिवोद्यताः ॥ २३५॥ नमः परिम्सृजन्तो वा श्लिष्यन्तो वा दिगङ्गनाः । भुवमास्फालयन्तो वा स्फूर्जन्ति स्म महाध्वजाः॥ २३६॥ इत्यमी केतवो मोहनिर्जयोपार्जिता बभुः । विमोस्त्रिभुवनेशि त्वं शंसन्तोऽनन्यगोचरम् ॥ २३७॥ दिश्येकस्यां ध्वजाः सर्वं सहस्रं स्यादशीतियुक् । चतसृष्वथ 'ते दिक्षु शून्य द्वित्रिकसागराः ॥ २३८॥ ततोऽनन्तरमेवान्तर्भागे सालो महानभूत् । श्रीमानर्जुन निर्माणो द्वितीयोऽप्यद्वितीयकः ॥ २३९ ॥ पूर्ववद्गोपुराण्यस्य राजतानि रराजिरे । हासकक्ष्मीर्भुवो नूनं पुञ्जीभूता तदात्मना ॥ २४०॥ तेष्वाभर णविन्यस्ततोरणेषु परा श्रुतिः । तेने निधिमिरुद्भूतैः कुबेरेश्वर्यहासिनी ॥ २४१॥ शेषो विधिरशेषोऽपि सालेनायेन वर्णितः । पौनरुवस्य मया श्रावस्तत्प्रपञ्चो निदर्शितः ॥ २४२ ॥ अत्रापि पूर्ववद्वेयं द्वितयं नाख्यशालयोः । तद्वद्भूप घटीद्वन्द्वं महावीथ्युभयान्तयोः ॥ २४३ ॥ ततो वीथ्यन्तरेष्वस्यां कक्ष्या यां कल्पभूरुहाम् । नानारत्नप्रभोत्सपैर्वनमासीत् प्रभास्वरम् ॥ २४४ ॥ कल्पद्रुमाः समुत्तुङ्गाः सच्छायाः फलशालिनः । नानास्रग्वस्त्रभूषाच्या राजायन्ते स्म संपदा ॥ २४५ ॥

हुए थे उनमें हजार-हजार आरियाँ थीं तथा उनकी किरणें ऊपरकी ओर उठ रही थीं, उन चक्रोंसे वे ध्वजाएँ ऐसी सुशोभित हो रही थीं, मानो सूर्यके साथ स्पर्द्धा करने के लिए ही तैयार हुई हों ||२३५|| इस प्रकार वे महाध्वजाएँ ऐसी फहरा रही थीं मानो आकाशको साफ
कर रही हों, अथवा दिशारूपी स्त्रियोंको आलिंगन ही कर रही हों अथवा पृथिवीका आस्फालन ही कर रही हों ||२३६ || इस प्रकार मोहनीय कर्मको जीत लेनेसे प्राप्त हुई वे ध्वजाएँ अन्य दूसरी जगह नहीं पाये जानेवाले भगवान् के तीनों लोकोंके स्वामित्वको प्रकट करती हुई बहुत ही सुशोभित हो रही थीं ॥ २३७॥ एक-एक दिशा में वे सब ध्वजाएँ एक हजार अस्सी थीं और चारों दिशाओंमें चार हजार तीन सौ बीस थीं ॥ २३८॥
उन ध्वजाओंके अनन्तर ही भीतर के भागमें चाँदीका बना हुआ एक बड़ा भारी कोट था, जो कि बहुत ही सुशोभित था और अद्वितीय अनुपम होनेपर भी द्वितीय था अर्थात् दूसरा कोट था || २३९|| पहले कोट के समान इसके भी चाँदीके बने हुए चार गोपुर-द्वार थे और वे ऐसे सुशोभित हो रहे थे मानो वे गोपुर-द्वारोंके बहानेसे इकट्ठी हुई पृथिवीरूपी देवीके हास्यकी शोभा ही हों || २४०|| जिनमें अनेक आभरणसहित तोरण लगे हुए हैं ऐसे उन गोपुर-द्वारोंमें जो निधियाँ रखी हुई थीं वे कुबेर के ऐश्वर्यकी भी हँसी उड़ानेवाली बड़ी भारी कान्तिको फैला रही थीं || २४१|| उस कोटकी और सब विधि पहले कोटके वर्णनके साथ ही कही जा चुकी है, पुनरुक्ति दोषके कारण यहाँ फिरसे उसका विस्तारके साथ वर्णन नहीं किया जा रहा है || २४२|| पहले के समान यहाँ भी प्रत्येक महावीथीके दोनों ओर दो नाट्यशालाएँ थीं और दो धूपघट रखे हुए थे ॥ २४३ ॥ इस कक्षामें विशेषता इतनी है कि धूपघटोंके बाद गलियोंके बीच के अन्तराल में कल्पवृक्षोंका वन था, जो कि अनेक प्रकार के रत्नोंकी कान्तिके फैलनेसे देदीप्यमान हो रहा था ॥ २४४॥ | उस वनके वे कल्पवृक्ष बहुत ही ऊँचे थे, उत्तम छायावाले थे, फलोंसे सुशोभित थे और अनेक प्रकारकी माला, वस्त्र तथा आभूषणोंसे सहित थे इसलिए अपनी शोभासे राजाओंके समान जान पड़ते
