एकोनविंशं पर्व
४२१ यथा विद्या फलान्येषां मोग्यानीह खगेशिनाम् । तथैव स्वैरसंभोग्याः सस्यादिफलसंपदः ॥१८॥ सस्यान्यकृष्टपच्यानि वाप्यः सोरफुल्लपकजा' । प्रामाः संसक्तसीमानः सारामाः सफल द्रुमाः ॥१९॥ सरत्नसिकता नद्यो हंसाध्यासितसैकताः। दीपिका पुष्करिण्याचाः स्वच्छतोया जलाशयाः ॥२०॥ रमणीया वनोद्देशाः पुंस्कोकिलकलस्वनैः । लताः कुसुमिता गुजभृङ्गीसंगीतसंगताः ॥२१॥ चन्द्रकान्तशिलानद्धसोपानाः सलतागृहाः । खचरीजनसंमोग्याः सेन्याश्च कृतकाद्रयः ॥२२॥ रम्याः पुराकरग्रामसंनिवेशाश्च विस्तृताः । सरित्सरोवरारामशालीचवणमण्डनाः ॥२३॥ स्त्रीपुंस सृष्टिरत्रस्या रत्यनजानुकारिणी । समप्रभोगसंपत्या स्वर्मोगेष्वप्यनुस्सुका ॥२४॥ एवंप्राया विशेषा ये नृणां संप्रीतिहेतवः । स्वर्गेऽप्यसुलभास्तेऽमी सन्त्येवान पदे पदे ॥२५॥ इति रम्यतरानेष विशेषान् खच्चरोचितान् । धत्ते स्वमहकमारोप्य कौतुकादिव भूधरः ॥२६॥ श्रेण्योरथेनयोरुक्तशोमासंपन्निधानयोः । पुराणां संनिवेशोऽयं लक्ष्यतेऽस्यन्तसुन्दरः ॥२७॥ पृथक्पृथगुभ श्रेण्यौ दशयोजनविस्तृते । अनुपर्वतदीर्घस्वमायते चापयोनिधेः ॥२८॥ विष्कम्मादिकृतः श्रेण्योः न भेदोऽस्तोह कश्चन । आयामस्तूसरश्रेण्यां धत्ते साभ्यधिकां मितिम् ॥२९॥
फिर विद्याओंके फलका उपभोग करते हैं ॥१७॥ इस विजया गिरिपर ये विद्याधर लोग जिस प्रकार इन विद्याओंके फलोंका उपभोग करते हैं उसी प्रकार वे धान्य आदि फल सम्पदाओंका भी अपनी इच्छानुसार उपभोग करते हैं ॥१८॥ यहाँपर धान्य विना बोये ही उत्पन्न होते हैं, यहाँकी बावड़ियाँ फूले हुए कमलोंसे सहित हैं, यहाँके गाँवोंकी सीमाएँ एक दूसरेसे मिली हुई रहती हैं, उनमें बगीचे रहते हैं और वे सब फले हुए वृक्षोंसे सहित होते हैं ॥१९॥ यहाँकी नदियाँ रत्नमयी बालूसे सहित हैं, बावड़ियों तथा पोखरियोंके किनारे सदा हंस बैठे रहते हैं, और जलाशय स्वच्छ जलसे भरे रहते हैं ।।२०।। यहाँ के वनप्रदेश कोकिलोंकी मधुर कूजनसे मनोहर रहते हैं और फूली हुई लताएँ [जार करती हुई भ्रमरियोंके संगीतसे संगत होती हैं ॥२॥ यहाँपर ऐसे अनेक कृत्रिम पर्वत बने हुए हैं जो चन्द्रकान्तमणिकी बनी हुई सीढ़ियोंसे युक्त हैं, लतागृहोंसे सहित है, विद्याधरियोंके सम्भोग करने योग्य हैं और सबके सेवन करने योग्य हैं ।।२२।। यहाँके पुर, स्मने और गाँवोंकी रचना बहुत ही सुन्दर है, वे बहुत ही बड़े हैं और नदी, तालाब, बगीचे, धानके खेत तथा ईखोंके वनोंसे सुशोभित रहते हैं ।।२३।। यहाँके स्त्री और पुरुषोंकी सृष्टि रति और कामदेवका अनुकरण करनेवाली है तथा वह हरएक प्रकार के भोगोपभोगकी सम्पदासे भरपूर होनेके कारण स्वर्गके भोगोंमें भी अनुत्सुक रहती है ॥२४| इस प्रकार मनुष्योंकी प्रसन्नताके कारणस्वरूप जो-जो विशेष पदार्थ हैं वे सब भले ही स्वर्गमें दुर्लभ हों परन्तु यहाँ पद-पदपर विद्यमान रहते हैं ॥२५।। इस प्रकार यह पर्वत विद्याधरोंके योग्य अतिशय मनोहर समस्त विशेष पदार्थोंको मानो कौतूहलसे ही अपनी गोदमें लेकर धारण कर रहा है ॥२६॥
जो ऊपर कही हुई शोभा और सम्पत्तिके निधान (खजाना) स्वरूप हैं ऐसी इन दोनों श्रेणियोंपर यह नगरोंकी बहुत ही सुन्दर रचना दिखाई देती है ॥२७॥ ये दोनों श्रेणियाँ पृथक्पृथक् दस योजन चौड़ी हैं और पर्वतकी लम्बाईके समान समुद्र पर्यन्त लम्बी हैं ।।२८।। इन दोनों श्रेणियों में चौड़ाई आदिका किया हुआ तो कुछ भी अन्तर नहीं है परन्तु उत्तर श्रेणीकी

421. Just as the celestial beings enjoy the fruits of knowledge, so too do they enjoy the fruits of grains and other things at will. ||18||

Here, grains grow without being sown, the wells are full of blooming lotuses, the boundaries of the villages are connected, they have gardens, and all the trees are laden with fruit. ||19||

The rivers here are filled with jeweled sand, swans always sit on the banks of the ponds and pools, and the reservoirs are full of clear water. ||20||

The forest areas here are beautiful with the sweet calls of cuckoos, and the blooming vines are accompanied by the music of buzzing bees. ||21||

There are many artificial mountains here, adorned with steps made of moonstone, filled with vine-covered houses, suitable for the enjoyment of the celestial beings, and fit for everyone to enjoy. ||22||

The cities, towns, and villages here are very beautiful, they are very large, and they are adorned with rivers, lakes, gardens, rice fields, and sugarcane forests. ||23||

The creation of men and women here imitates Rati and Kamadeva, and because they are full of all kinds of enjoyment and possessions, they are not even interested in the pleasures of heaven. ||24||

Thus, all the special things that are the cause of happiness for humans, even though they are rare in heaven, are present here everywhere. ||25||

Thus, this mountain, as if out of curiosity, holds all these special things, which are extremely beautiful and suitable for the celestial beings, in its lap. ||26||

In these two श्रेणियाँ, which are full of beauty and wealth as described above, this beautiful arrangement of cities is seen. ||27||

These two श्रेणियाँ are ten yojanas wide each, and they extend as far as the ocean, like the length of the mountain. ||28||

There is no difference in the width, etc., of these two श्रेणियाँ, but the northern श्रेणी has a greater length. ||29||
