आदिपुराणम्
महानद्य इवापप्तन धारात मर्धनीशितुः । हेलयैव महिम्नासौ ताः 'प्रत्यैच्छद् गिरीन्द्रवत् ॥ १२२ ॥ विरेजुरच्छटा दूरमुश्चलन्त्यो नभोऽङ्गणे । जिनाङ्गस्पर्शसंसर्गात् पापान्मुक्ता इवोद्र्ध्वगाः ॥ १२३॥ काश्चनोश्चलिता ब्योम्नि विबभुः शोकरच्छटाः । छटामिवामरावासप्राङ्गणेषु तितांसवः ॥ १२३ ॥ तिर्यग्विसारिणः केचित् स्नानाम्मश्शीकरोत्कराः । कर्णपूरश्रियं तेनुर्दिग्वधूमुखसङ्गिनीम् ॥१२५॥ निर्मले श्रीपतेरङ्गे पतित्वा प्रतिबिम्बिताः । जलधाराः स्फुरन्ति स्म दिष्टिवृद्धयेव संगताः ॥ १२६॥ गिरेरिव विभोमूनि सुरेन्द्राभैर्निपातिताः । विरेजुर्निर्झराकारा धाराः क्षीरार्णवाम्भसाम् ॥१२७॥ तोषादिव खमुत्पत्य भूयोऽपि निपतन्त्यधः । जलानि 'जहसुर्नूनं' जडतां' स्वां स्वीकरैः ॥१२८॥ स्वर्धुनीशीकरैः सार्धं स्पद्धां कर्तुमिवोर्ध्वगैः । 'शीकरैद्रक्पुनाति स्म स्वर्धामान्य मृतप्लवः” ॥१२५॥ पवित्रो भगवान् पूतैरङ्गैस्तदपुना जलम् । तत्पुनर्जगदेवेदम पावीद व्याप्तदिङ्मुखम् ॥ १३०॥ तेनाम्भसा सुरेन्द्राणां पृतनाः "लाविताः क्षणम् । लक्ष्यन्ते स्म पयोवार्थौ निमग्नाङ्गन्य इवाकुलाः ॥ १३१ ॥ तदग्भः कलशास्यस्यैः सरोजैः स्सममापतत् । हंसैरिव परां कान्तिमवापाद्रीन्द्रमस्तके ॥। १३२ ।। अशोकपल्लवैः कुम्भैर्मुखमुक्तैस्ततं " पयः । सच्छायमभवत् कीर्ण विद्रुमाणामिवाङ्कुरैः ।। १३३ ।।

आदि महानदियाँ ही मिलकर एक साथ पड़ रही हों तथापि मेरु पर्वत के समान स्थिर रहनेवाले जिनेन्द्रदेव उसे अपने माहात्म्यसे लीलामात्र में ही सहन कर रहे थे ।। १२१-१२२ ।। उस समय कितनी ही जलकी बूँदें भगवान् के शरीरका स्पर्श कर आकाशरूपी आँगनमें दूर तक उछल रही थीं और ऐसी मालूम होती थीं मानो उनके शरीर के स्पर्शसे पापरहित होकर ऊपर को ही जा रही हों ॥ १२३ ॥ आकाशमें उछलती हुई कितनी ही पानीकी बूँदें ऐसी शोभायमान हो रही थीं मानो देवोंके निवासगृहों में छींटे ही देना चाहती हों ॥। १२४ || भगवान् के अभिषेक जलके कितने ही छींटे दिशा-विदिशाओं में तिरछे फैल रहे थे और वे ऐसे मालूम होते थे मानो दिशारूपी स्त्रियोंके मुखोंपर कर्णफूलोंकी शोभा ही बढ़ा रहे हों ॥१२५|| भगवान्‌ के निर्मल शरीरपर पड़कर उसीमें प्रतिबिम्बित हुई जलकी धाराएँ ऐसी शोभायमान हो रही थीं मानो अपनेको बड़ा भाग्यशाली मानकर उन्हींके शरीर के साथ मिल गयी हों ||१२६ || भगवान्के मस्तकपर इन्द्रों द्वारा छोड़ी हुई क्षीरसमुद्रके जलकी धारा ऐसी सुशोभित हो रही थी मानो किसी पर्वतके शिखरपर मेघों द्वारा छोड़े हुए सफेद झरने ही पड़ रहे हों ||१२७|| भगवान् के अभिषेकका जल सन्तुष्ट होकर पहले तो आकाश में उछलता था और फिर नीचे गिर पड़ता था । उस समय जो उसमें जलके बारीक छींटे रहते थे उनसे वह ऐसा मालूम होता था मानो अपनी मूर्खता पर हँस ही रहा हो || १२८ || वह क्षीरसागर के जलका प्रदाह आकाशगंगाके जलं बिन्दुओंके साथ स्पर्धा करनेके लिए ही मानो ऊपर जाते हुए अपने जलकणोंसे स्वर्गके. विमानोंको शीघ्र ही पवित्र कर रहा था || १२९|| भगवान् स्वयं पवित्र थे, उन्होंने अपने पवित्र अंगों से उस जलको पवित्र कर दिया था और उस जलने समस्त दिशाओं में फैलकर इस सारे संसारको पवित्र कर दिया था || १३०|| उस अभिषेकके जलमें डूबी हुई देवोंकी सेना क्षण-भर के लिए ऐसी दिखाई देती थी मानो क्षीरसमुद्र में डूबकर व्याकुल ही हो रही हो ।। १३१|| वह जल कलशोंके मुखपर रखे हुए कमलोंके साथ सुमेरु पर्वत के मस्तकपर पड़ रहा था इसलिए ऐसी शोभाको प्राप्त हो रहा था मानो हंसोंके साथ ही पड़ रहा हो ॥ १३२ ॥ कलशोंके मुख से गिरे हुए अशोकवृक्ष के लाल-लाल पल्लवोंसे व्याप्त हुआ वह स्वच्छ जल ऐसा शोभायमान हो रहा था मानो

At that time, the fine drops of water that remained in it seemed as if it were laughing at its own foolishness. || 128 || The water of the ocean of milk, as if wanting to compete with the drops of water of the Milky Way, was quickly purifying the celestial chariots with its drops, while going upwards along with the rays of the sun. || 129 || The Lord himself was pure, he purified that water with his pure limbs, and that water, spreading in all directions, purified this whole world. || 130 || The army of gods, immersed in that abhisheka water, appeared for a moment as if they were distressed after being submerged in the ocean of milk. || 131 || That water was falling on the head of Mount Meru along with the lotuses placed on the mouths of the kalasas, therefore it was attaining such beauty as if it were falling along with the swans. || 132 || That pure water, filled with the red leaves of the ashoka tree that had fallen from the mouths of the kalasas, was shining brightly, as if it were filled with the sprouts of the vidruma. || 133 ||
