त्रयोदशं पर्व
२८७ स्तुस्वेति स तमारोप्य स्वमकं सुरनायकः । हस्तमुचालयामास मेरुप्रस्थान संभ्रमी ॥४॥ जयेश नन्द वर्द्धस्व स्वमित्युच्चैर्गिरः सुराः । तदा कलकलं चक्रुर्वधिरीकृतदिङ्मुखम् ॥४८॥ नमोऽङ्गणमथोत्पेतुरुच्चरज्जयघोषणाः। सुरचापानि तन्वन्तः प्रसरभूषणांशुमिः ॥४९॥ गन्धर्वारब्धसंगीता नेटुरप्सरसः पुरः । भ्रपताका समुक्षिप्य नमोरङ्गे चलस्कुचाः ॥५०॥ इतोऽमुत: समाकीर्ण विमानैर्यु सदा नमः । सरस्नेरुन्मिषन्नेत्रमिव रेजे विनिर्मलम् ॥५१॥ सिताः पयोधरा नीलः करीन्द्रः सितकेतनैः । सबलाकैर्विनीलाः संगता इव रेजिरे ॥५२॥ महाविमानसंघः क्षुण्णा जलधराः कचित् । 'प्रणेशुमेहता रोधानश्यन्त्येव जलात्मकाः ॥५३॥ सुरेभकटदानाम्बुगन्धाकृष्टमधुव्रताः । वनामोगान् जहुलोकः सत्यमेव नवप्रियः ॥५४॥ अङ्गभामिः सुरेन्द्राणां तेजोऽर्कस्य पराहतम् । 'विलिल्ये काप्यविज्ञातं लज्जामिव परां गतम् ॥५५॥
दिवाकरकराश्लेषं विघटय्य" सुरेशिनाम् । देहोद्योता दिशो भेजुर्मोग्या हि बलिना खियः ॥५६॥ मणि बढ़ते रहते हैं उसी प्रकार आपमें अनेक गुण बढ़ते रहते हैं ॥४६॥ इस प्रकार देवोंके अधिपति इन्द्रने स्तुति कर भगवानको अपनी गोदमें धारण किया और मेरु पर्वतपर चलनेकी शीघ्रतासे इशारा करनेके लिए अपना हाथ ऊँचा उठाया ॥४७॥ हे ईश! आपको जय हो, आप समृद्धिमान हों और आप सदा बढ़ते रहें इस प्रकार जोर-जोरसे कहढे हुए देवोंने उस समय इतना अधिक कोलाहल किया था कि उससे समस्त दिशाएँ बहरीहो गयी थीं ॥४८॥ तदनन्तर जय-जय शब्दका उचारण करते हुए और अपने आभूषणोंकी फैलती हुई किरणोंसे इन्द्रधनुपको विस्तृत करते हुए देख लोग आकाशरूपी आँगनमें ऊपरको ओर चलने लगे ।।४।। उस समय जिनके स्तन कुछ-कुछ हिल रहे हैं ऐसी अप्सराएँ अपनी भौंहरूपी पताकाएँ ऊपर उठाकर आकाशरूपी रंगभूमिमें सबके आगे नृत्य कर रही थीं और गन्धर्वदेव उनके साथ अपना संगीत प्रारम्भ कर रहे थे ॥५०॥ रत्न-खचित देवोंने विमानोंसे जहाँ-तहाँ सभी ओर व्याप्त हआ निर्मल आकाश ऐसा शोभायमान होता था मानो भगवानके दर्शन करनेके लिए र उसने अपने नेत्र ही खोल रखे हों ।।११।। उस समय सफेद बादल सफेद पताकाओंसहित काले हाथियोंसे मिलकर ऐसे शोभायमान हो रहे थे मानो बगुला पक्षियोंसहित काले काले बादलोंसे मिल रहे हों ।।५२।। कहीं-कहींपर अनेक मेघ देवोंके बड़े-बड़े विमानोंकी टकरसे चूर-चूर होकर नष्ट हो गये थे सो ठीक ही है; क्योंकि जो जड़ (जल और मूर्ख) रूप होकर भी बड़ोंसे बैर रखते हैं वे नष्ट होते ही हैं ॥५३॥ देवोंके हाथियोंके गण्डस्थलसे झरनेवाले मदकी सुगन्धसे आकृष्ट हुए भौंरोंने वनके प्रदेशोंको छोड़ दिया था सो ठीक है क्योंकि यह कहावत सत्य है कि लोग नवप्रिय होते हैं-उन्हें नयी-नयी वस्तु अच्छी लगती है ।।१४।। उस समय इन्द्रोंके शरीरकी प्रभासे सूर्यका तेज पराहत हो गया था-फीका पड़ गया था इसलिए ऐसा जान पड़ता था मानो लज्जाको प्राप्त होकर चुपचाप कहींपर जा छिपा हो ॥५५।। पहले सूर्य अपने किरणरूपी हाथोंके द्वारा दिशारूपी अंगनाओंका आलिंगन किया करता था, किन्तु उस समय इन्द्रोंके शरीरोंका उद्योग सूर्यके उस आलिंगनको छुड़ाकर स्वयं दिशारूपी अंगनाओंके समीप जा पहुंचा था, सो ठीक ही है स्त्रियाँ बलवान् पुरुषोंके ही भोग्य होती हैं । भावार्थ-इन्द्रोंके शरीरको कान्ति सर्यकी

52. White clouds, with white banners, mingled with black elephants, shining like black clouds with herons. ||52||

53. The great celestial chariots, in their rush, shattered some of the clouds. It is right that those who are dull (like water and fools), and who oppose their superiors, should be destroyed. ||53||

54. Attracted by the fragrance of the intoxicating nectar that flowed from the temples of the celestial elephants, the bees abandoned the forests. It is true that people are fond of novelty; they like new things. ||54||

55. The radiance of the Indra's body eclipsed the sun's brilliance, making it seem as if the sun had gone into hiding, ashamed. ||55||

56. The celestial beings, with their radiant bodies, dispelled the sun's embrace of the directions, for women are the rightful possession of strong men. ||56||

46. Just as jewels continue to grow, so too do your many virtues continue to grow. ||46||
