आदिपुराणम् तदा मङ्गलधारिण्यो दिक्कुमार्यः पुरो ययुः । त्रिजगन्मङ्गलस्यास्य समृद्धय इवोच्छिखाः ॥३६॥ छत्रं ध्वजं सकलशं चामरं सुप्रतिष्ठकम् । भृक्षारं दर्पणं तालमित्याहुमंगलाष्टकम् ॥३७॥ स तदा मङ्गलानां च मङ्गलस्वं परं वहन् । स्वदीप्स्या दीपिकालोकान् अरुण तरुणांशुमान् ॥३८॥ ततः करतले देवी देवराजस्य तं न्यधात् । बालार्कमौदये सानो प्राचीव प्रस्फुरन्मणौ ॥३९॥ गीर्वाणेन्द्रस्तमिन्द्राण्याः करादादाय सादरम् । ग्यलोकयत् स तद्रपं संप्रीतिस्फारितेक्षणः ॥४०॥ स्वं देव जगतां ज्योतिस्त्वं देव जगतां गुरुः । त्वं देव जगतां धाता स्वं देव जगतां पतिः ॥४१॥ स्वामामनन्ति सुधियः केवलज्ञानभास्वतः । उदयादि मुनीन्द्राबामभिवन्यं महोबतिम् ॥४२॥ स्वया जगदिदं मिथ्याज्ञानान्धतमसावृतम् । प्रबोध नेप्यते.मम्बकमलाकरबन्धुना ॥४३॥ तुभ्यं नमोऽधिगुरवे नमस्तुभ्यं महाधिये । तुभ्यं नमोऽस्तु मण्याजबन्धवे गुणसिन्धवे ॥४॥ स्वत्तः प्रबोधमिच्छन्तः प्रबुद्धभुवनयात् । तव पादाम्बुज देव मूनों दध्मो धृतादरम् ॥४५॥ स्वयि प्रणयमाधत्ते मुक्तिलक्ष्मीः समुत्सुका । त्वयि सर्वे गुणाः स्फाति यान्स्यब्धौ मणयो यथा ॥४६॥
लेकर जाता हुआ आकाश ही सुशोभित हो रहा है ॥३५॥ उस समय तीनों लोकोंमें मंगल करनेवाले भगवान्के आगे-आगे अष्ट मंगलद्रव्य धारण करनेवाली दिक्कुमारी देवियाँ चल रही थीं और ऐसी जान पड़ती थीं मानो इकट्ठी हुई भगवानकी उत्तम ऋद्धियाँ ही हों ।।३६।। छत्र, ध्वजा, कलश, चमर, सुप्रतिष्ठक (मोदरा-ठोना), झारी, दर्पण और ताड़का पंखा ये आठ मंगलद्रव्य कहलाते हैं॥३७॥ उस समय मंगलोंमें भी मंगलपनेको प्राप्त करानेवाले और तरुण सूर्यके समान शोभायमान भगवान् अपनो दीलिसे दीपकोंके प्रकाशको रोक रहे थे। भावार्थ-भगवानके शरीरकी दीप्तिके सामने दीपकोंका प्रकाश नहीं फैल रहाथा॥३८॥ तत्पश्चात् जिस प्रकार पूर्व दिशा प्रकाशमान मणियोंसे सुशोभित उदयाचलके शिखरपर बाल सूर्यको विराजमान कर देती है उसी प्रकार इन्द्राणीने जिनबालकको इन्द्रकी हथेलीपर विराजमान कर दिया ॥३९॥ इन्द्र आदरसहित इन्द्राणीके हाथसे भगवानको लेकर हर्षसे नेत्रोंको प्रफुल्लित करता हआ उनका सुन्दर रूप देखने लगा ॥४०॥ तथा नीचे लिखे अनुसार उनकी स्तुति करने लगा-हे देव, आप तीनों जगत्की ज्योति हैं; हे देव, आप तीनों जगत्के गुरु हैं; हे देव, आप तीनों जगत्के विधाता हैं और हे देव, आप तीनों जगत्के स्वामी हैं ॥४१॥ हे नाथ, विद्वान लोग, केवलज्ञानरूपी सूर्यका उदय होनेके लिए आपको ही बड़े-बड़े मुनियों के द्वारा वन्दनीय और अतिशय उन्नत उदयाचल पर्वत मानते हैं ।।४ाहे नाथ, आप भव्य जीवरूपी कमलोंके समूहको विकसित करनेके लिए सूर्यके समान हैं । मिथ्या ज्ञानरूपी गाढ़ अन्धकारसे ढका हुआ यह संसार अब आपके द्वारा ही प्रबोधको प्राप्त होगा ॥ ४३ ॥ हे नाथ, आप गुरुओंके भी गुरु हैं इसलिए आपको नमस्कार हो, आप महाबुद्धिमान हैं इसलिए आपको नमस्कार हो, आप भव्य जीवरूपी कमलोंको विकसित करनेके लिए सूर्यके समान हैं और गुणोंके समुद्र हैं इसलिए आपको नमस्कार हो ॥४४॥ हे भगवन् , आपने तीनों लोकोंको जान लिया है इसलिए आपसे ज्ञान प्राप्त करनेकी इच्छा करते हुए हम लोग आपके चरणकमलोंको बड़े आदरसे अपने मस्तकपर धारण करते हैं ॥ ४५ ॥ हे नाथ, मुक्तिरूपी लक्ष्मी उत्कण्ठित होकर आपमें स्नेह रखती है और जिस प्रकार समुद्रमें

Then, just as the rising sun is placed on the peak of the eastern mountain, adorned with shining jewels, Indra's wife placed the Jina child in Indra's palm. ||39||

Indra, with reverence, took the Lord from Indra's hand and, with joyful eyes, gazed upon his beautiful form. ||40||

He then praised him, saying: "O Lord, you are the light of the three worlds; O Lord, you are the teacher of the three worlds; O Lord, you are the creator of the three worlds; O Lord, you are the master of the three worlds." ||41||

O Lord, wise people consider you to be the great mountain of the rising sun, worthy of being worshipped by great sages, for the sake of the rising of the sun of perfect knowledge. ||42||

O Lord, you are like the sun, who causes the lotus flowers of the noble beings to bloom. This world, enveloped in the darkness of false knowledge, will be enlightened by you. ||43||

O Lord, you are the teacher of even the teachers, so I bow to you; you are the great intellect, so I bow to you; you are like the sun, who causes the lotus flowers of the noble beings to bloom, and you are the ocean of virtues, so I bow to you. ||44||

O Lord, you have known the three worlds, so desiring to gain knowledge from you, we place your lotus feet on our heads with great reverence. ||45||

O Lord, the goddess of liberation, eager for liberation, is devoted to you. All virtues reside in you, just as jewels reside in the ocean. ||46||
