त्रयोदशं पर्व
अथातो नवमासानामस्यये सुषुवे विभुम् । देवी देवीमिरुकामियथास्वं.परिवारिता ॥१॥ प्राचीव' बन्धुमजानां सा लेभे मास्वरं सुतम् । चैत्रे मास्यसिते पक्षे नवम्यामुदये रवेः ॥२॥ विश्वे ब्रह्ममहायोगे जगतामेकवल्लभम् । भासमान त्रिमिोंधैः शिशुमप्यशिशुं गुणैः ॥३॥ त्रिबोधकिरणोझासिबालार्कोऽसौ स्फुरद्युतिः । नामिराजोदयादिन्द्रादुदितो विवमो विभुः ॥४॥ दिशः 'प्रससिमासेदुरासीलिमलमम्बरम् । गुणानामस्य बैमल्यमनुकतुमिव प्रभोः ॥५॥ प्रजानां ववृधे हर्षः सुरा विस्मयमाश्रयन् । अम्लानिकुसुमान्युर्मुमुचुः सुरभूरुहाः ॥६॥ 'अनाहताः पृथुध्वाना दध्वनुदिविजानकाः । मृदुः सुगन्धिः शिशिरो मरुम्मन्दं तदा ववौ ॥७॥ प्रचचाल मही तोषात् नृत्यन्तीव चलगिरिः । उढेलो जलधिनमगमत् प्रमदं परम् ॥८॥ ततोऽबुद्ध सुराधीशः सिंहासनविकम्पनात्। प्रयुक्तावधिरुभूतिं जिनस्य विजितैनसः ॥९॥
ततो जन्माभिषेकाय मतिं चक्रे शतक्रतुः । तीर्थकझाविमच्याजवन्धौ तस्मिनुदेवुपि ॥१०॥ - तदासनानि देवानामकस्मात्" प्रचकम्पिरे । देवानुवासनेम्योऽधः पातयन्तीव संभ्रमात् ॥११॥
अथानन्तर, ऊपर कही हुई श्री, डी आदि देवियाँ जिसकी सेवा करनेके लिए सदा समीपमें विद्यमान रहती हैं ऐसी माता मरदेवीने नव महीने व्यतीत होनेपर भगवान् वृषभदेवको उत्पन्न किया ॥१॥ जिस प्रकार प्रातःकालके समय पूर्व दिशा कमलोंको विकसित करनेवाले प्रकाशमान सूर्यको प्राप्त करती है उसी प्रकार मायादेवी भी चैत्र कृष्ण नवमीके दिन सूर्योदयके समय उत्तराषाढ़ नक्षत्र और ब्रह्म नामक महायोगमें मति, श्रुत और अवधि इन तीन ज्ञानोंसे शोभायमान, बालक होनेपर भी गुणोंसे वृद्ध तथा तीनों लोकोंके एक मात्र स्वामी देदीप्यमान पुत्रको प्राप्त किया ।।२-३॥ तीन ज्ञानरूपी किरणोंसे शोभायमान, अतिशय कान्तिका धारक और नाभिराजरूपी उदयाचलसे उदयको प्राप्त हुआ वह बालकरूपी सूर्य बहुत ही शोभायमान होता था ॥४॥ उस समय समस्त दिशाएँ स्वच्छताको प्राप्त हुई थी और आकाश निर्मल हो गया था। ऐसा मालूम होता था मानो भगवानके गुणोंकी निर्मलताका अनुकरण करनेके लिए ही दिशाएँ और आकाश स्वच्छताको प्राप्त हुए हों ।।५।। उस समय प्रजाका हर्ष बढ़ रहा था, देव आश्चर्यको प्राप्त हो रहे थे और कल्पवृक्ष ऊँचेसे प्रफुल्लित फूल बरसा रहे थे ॥६॥ देवोंके दुन्दुभि बाजे बिना बजाये ही ऊँचा शब्द करते हुए बज रहे थे और कोमल, शीतल तथा सुगन्धित वायु धीरे-धीरे बह रहा था। उस समय पहाड़ोंको हिलाती हुई पृथिवी भी हिलने लगी थी मानो सन्तोषसे नृत्य ही कर रही हो और समुद्र भी लहरा रहा था मानो परम आनन्दको प्राप्त हुआ हो ।।।। तदनन्तर सिंहासन कम्पायमान होनेसे अवधिझान जोड़कर इन्द्रने जान लिया कि समस्त पापोंको जीतनेवाले जिनेन्द्रदेवका जन्म हुआ। आगामी कालमें उत्पन्न होनेवाले भव्य जीवरूपी कमलोंको विकसित करनेवाले श्री तीर्थकररूपी सूर्यके उदित होते ही इन्द्रने उनका जन्माभिषेक करनेका विचार किया ॥१०॥ उस समय अकस्मात् सब देवोंके आसन कम्पित होने लगे थे और ऐसे मालूम होते थे मानो उन देवोंको
१. पूर्वदिक् । २. लब्धवती । ३. कृष्णे । ४. उत्तरापादनक्षत्रे। ५. शोभमानम् । ६.प्रसन्नताम् । ७. गताः । ८. नेमल्यम् । ९. अताड्यमानाः । १०. उसत्तिम् । ११. आकस्मिकात् ।

Then, after nine months, the divine mother, Marudevi, who was always surrounded by the divine ladies like Sri, D, etc., who were eager to serve her, gave birth to the Lord Vrishabhadeva. ||1||

Just as the east receives the radiant sun, which blooms the lotuses in the morning, so too, Maya Devi, on the ninth day of the dark fortnight of Chaitra, at sunrise, in the Uttaraashada Nakshatra and the Brahma Maha Yoga, received a son who was adorned with the three knowledges of Mati, Shruta, and Avadhi, who was old in virtues even as a child, and who was the sole lord of the three worlds, a radiant son. ||2-3||

That child-like sun, adorned with the rays of the three knowledges, possessing immense brilliance, and rising from the navel-lotus, was very radiant. ||4||

At that time, the joy of the people increased, the gods were filled with wonder, and the Kalpavriksha trees showered down blooming flowers from above. ||6||

The drums of the gods were sounding without being struck, and a gentle, cool, and fragrant breeze was blowing softly. At that time, the earth, as if dancing in joy, was shaking, moving the mountains, and the ocean was surging, as if experiencing supreme bliss. ||7||

Then, the king of the gods, Indra, realizing the birth of the Jina, the conqueror of all sins, who would cause the blooming of the lotus-like future beings, by the shaking of his throne and the combination of Avadhi and Jhana, decided to perform his birth ceremony. ||9-10||

At that time, the seats of all the gods suddenly began to shake, as if they were being thrown down by the fear of the gods' worship. ||11||
