नवमं पर्व
२०५ महाबलमवेऽप्यासोत् स्वयंबुद्धो गुरुः स नः । वितीर्य दर्शनं सम्यगधुना तु विशेषत: ॥१२॥ 'गुरूणां यदि संसों न स्याच स्याद् गुणार्जनम् । विना गुणार्जनात् 'क्वास्य जन्तोः सफलजन्मता। ३७३। रसोपविद्धः सन् धातुर्यथा याति सुवर्णताम् । तथा गुरुगुणारिकष्टो मन्यात्मा शुद्धिमृच्छति ॥१७॥ न विना यानपात्रेवतरितुं शक्यतेऽर्णवः । नर्ते गुरूपदेशाच सुतरोऽयं भवार्णवः ॥१०५॥ यथान्धतमसच्छमान् नार्थान् दीपाद् विनेक्षते । तथा जीवादिमावांश्च नोपदेष्टुर्विनेक्षते ॥१७॥ बन्धको गुरववेतिद्वये संप्रीतये नृणाम् । बन्धवोऽत्रेव संप्रीत्ये गुरवोऽमुन्न चानच ॥१७॥ यतो गुरुनिदेशेन जाता नः शुदिरीशी। ततो गुल्पदे भक्तिभूयाजन्मान्तरेऽपि नः ॥१८॥ इति चिन्तयतोऽस्यासीद् डा सम्यक्स्वभावना । सा तु कल्पलतेवास्मै सर्वमिष्टं फलिष्यति ॥१९॥ समानभावनानेन साप्यमच्छीमतीचरी। समानशीलयोनासीदाच्छिना प्रीतिरेनयोः ॥१८॥ दम्पत्योरिति संप्रीत्या मोगाबिर्विशतोधिरम् । मोगकालस्तयोनिष्ठ प्रापत् पल्यत्रयोन्मितः ॥१८॥ जीवितान्ते सुखं प्राणान् हित्वा तो पुण्यशेषतः । प्रापतुः कल्पमैशानं गृहादिव गृहान्तरम् ॥१८२॥ विलीयन्ते यथा मेघा यथाकालं कृतोदयाः । मोगममिवां देहास्तथान्त विशरारवः ॥१८३॥
यथा बैक्रियिके देहे न दोषमलसंभवः । तथा दिग्यमनुष्याणां देहे शुबिरुदाहृता ॥१८४॥ चलता है ॥१७१।। महाबल भवमें भी वे मेरे स्वयम्बुद्ध नामक गुरु हुए थे और आज इस भवमें भी सम्यग्दर्शन देकर विशेष गुरु हुए हैं ॥१७२।। यदि संसारमें गुरुओंकी संगति न हो तो गुणोंकी प्राप्ति नहीं हो सकती और गुणोंकी प्राप्तिके बिना इस जीवके जन्मकी सफलता कहाँ हो सकती है ? ॥१७३।। जिस प्रकार सिद्ध रसके संयोगसे तांबा आदि धातुएँ सुवर्णपनेको प्राप्त हो जाती हैं उसी प्रकार गुरुदेवके उपदेशसे प्रकट हुए गुणोंके संयोगसे भव्य जीव भी शुद्धिको प्राप्त हो जाते हैं ।।१७४।। जिस प्रकार जहाजके बिना समुद्र नहीं तिरा जा सकता है उसी प्रकार गुरुके उपदेशके बिना यह संसाररूपी समुद्र नहीं तिरा जा सकता ॥१७५।। जिस प्रकार कोई पुरुष दीपकके बिना गाढ़ अन्धकारमें छिपे हुए घट, पट आदि पदार्थोंको नहीं देख सकता उसी प्रकार यह जीव भी उपदेश देनेवाले गुरुके बिना जीव, अजीव आदि पदार्थोंको नहीं जान सकता ॥१७६॥ इस संसारमें भाई और गुरु ये दोनों ही पदार्थ मनुष्योंकी प्रीतिके लिए हैं। पर भाई तो इस लोकमें ही प्रीति उत्पन्न करते हैं और गुरु इस लोक तथा परलोक, दोनों ही लोकोंमें विशेष रूपसे प्रीति-उत्पन्न करते हैं ॥१७७।। जब कि गुरु के उपदेशसे ही हम लोगोंको इस प्रकारकी विशुद्धि प्राप्त हुई है तब हम चाहते हैं कि जन्मान्तरमें भी मेरी भक्ति गुरुदेवके चरण-कमलोंमें बनी रहे ॥१७८। इस प्रकार चिन्तवन करते हुए बजजंघकी सम्यक्त्व भावना अत्यन्त दृढ़ हो गयो । यही भावना आगे चलकर इस बजजंघके लिए कल्पलताके समान समस्त इष्ट फल देनेवाली होगी ॥१७९॥ श्रीमतीके जीवने भी वनजंघके जीवके समान ऊपर लिखे अनुसार चिन्तन किया था इसलिए इसको सम्यक्त्व भावना भी सुदृढ़ हो गयी थी। इन दोनों पति-पत्रियोंका स्वभाव एक-सा था इसलिए दोनोंमें एक-सी अखण्ड प्रीति रहती थी ॥१८०। इस प्रकार प्रीतिपूर्वक भोग भोगते हुए उन दोनों दम्पतियोंका तीन पल्य प्रमाण भारी काल व्यतीत हो गया ॥१८१॥ और दोनों जीवनके अन्त में सुखपूर्वक प्राण छोड़कर बाकी बचे हुए पुण्यसे एक घरसे दूसरे घरके समान ऐशान स्वर्गमें जा पहुँचे ॥१८२।। जिस प्रकार वर्षाकालमें मेघ अपने-आप ही उत्पन्न हो जाते हैं और समय पाकर आप ही विलीन हो जाते हैं उसी प्रकार भोगभूमिज जीवोंके शरीर अपने-आप ही उत्पन्न होते हैं और जीवनके अन्तमें अपने-आप ही विलीन हो जाते हैं ॥१८३॥ जिस प्रकार वैक्रियिक

205. Mahabala, in this existence too, the Self-Enlightened One, the Guru, is ours. He has bestowed upon us the right vision, and now, especially, he has done so. ||12||

373. If there were no association with Gurus in the world, there would be no attainment of virtues. Without the attainment of virtues, where would the birth of any being be fruitful? ||373||

17. Just as a metal, when infused with the right essence, attains the state of gold, so too, the soul, when infused with the virtues of the Guru, attains purity. ||17||

105. Just as one cannot cross the ocean without a boat, so too, one cannot cross this ocean of existence without the guidance of the Guru. ||105||

17. Just as a blind person cannot see objects without a lamp, so too, this being cannot know the soul, non-soul, and other things without the guidance of a teacher. ||17||

17. In this world, both brothers and Gurus are for the happiness of humans. But brothers bring happiness only in this world, while Gurus bring happiness in both this world and the next, in a special way. ||17||

18. Since we have attained this purity through the instructions of the Guru, we wish that our devotion to the Guru's lotus feet may remain even in future births. ||18||

19. Thinking in this way, the right faith of Bajjangh became very firm. This faith will be like a wish-fulfilling tree for him, bearing all desired fruits. ||19||

18. Shrimati also had the same thoughts as Bajjangh, so her right faith also became firm. Both of them had the same nature, so there was an unbroken love between them. ||18||

18. Thus, enjoying their lives with love, three Palyas of time passed for them. ||18||

182. At the end of their lives, they happily gave up their bodies and, with the remaining merit, reached the Aishana heaven, just as one moves from one house to another. ||182||

183. Just as clouds appear on their own during the rainy season and disappear on their own in due time, so too, the bodies of beings in the realm of enjoyment appear on their own and disappear on their own at the end of life. ||183||

184. Just as there is no possibility of impurities in the Vaikriya body, so too, there is no possibility of impurities in the bodies of those who have attained the right vision. ||184||
