सप्तमं पर्व
१५३ स्मयते ज़म्भते किंचित् स्मरत्याराद् विलोकते । श्वसित्युष्णं च दीर्घ च पटुरस्मिन् स्मरज्वरः ॥१६॥ तमेव बहुमन्यते पितरौ ते नरोत्तमम् । नृपेन्द्रो मागिनेयरवाद् भ्रात्रीयस्वाचे देण्यसौं ॥१६॥ कक्ष्मीवान् कुलजी दक्षः स्वरूपोऽभिमतः सताम् । इत्यनेको गुणग्रामः तस्मिन्नस्ति वरोचितः ॥१६९॥ सपत्नी श्रीसरस्वत्योभूत्वा त्वं तदुरोगृहे । चिरं निवस कल्याणि कल्याणशतमागिनी ॥१७॥ सामान्येनोपमानं ते लक्ष्मोनैव सरस्वती । यतोऽपूर्वेव लक्ष्मीस्त्वमन्यैव च सरस्वती ॥१७॥ मिदेलिमदले शश्वस्संकोचिनि रजोजुषि । सा श्रीरश्री रिवोद्भूता कुशेशयकुटीरके ॥१७२॥ सरस्वती च सोच्छिष्टे चलजिहाप्रपल्लवे । 'लब्धजन्मा तयोः कस्यः तवैवामिजनः शुचिः ॥१३॥ लताङ्गि ललिताङ्गस्य विविक्ते तस्य मानसे । रमस्व राजहंसीव लताङ्गमितवत्सरान् ॥१७॥ युवांरुचितं योगं कृत्वा यातु कृतार्थताम् । विधाता जननिर्वादात् मुच्येत कथमन्यथा ॥१७५॥ समाश्वसिहि तद्भद्रे क्षिप्रमेष्यति ते वरः । स्वदूरागमने पश्य पुरमुढेलकौतुकम् ॥१७॥
और मुखपूर्वक गमन करने योग्य उत्तम मार्गमें चलता हुआ भी पद-पदपर स्खलित हो जाता था। वह हँसता था, जंभाई लेता था, कुछ स्मरण करता था, दूर तक देखता था और उष्ण तथा लम्बी साँस छोड़ता था। इन सब चिह्नोंसे जान पड़ता था कि उसमें कामज्वर बढ़ रहा है ।।१६६-१६७।। वह वनजंघ राजा वदन्तका भानजा है और लक्ष्मीमती देवीके भाईका पुत्र (भतीजा) है । इसलिए तेरे माता-पिता भी उसे श्रेष्ठ वर समझते हैं॥१६८|| इसके सिवाय वह लक्ष्मीमान् है, उच्चकुलमें उत्पन्न हुआ है, चतुर है,सुन्दर है और सज्जनोंका मान्य है। इस प्रकार उसमें वरके योग्य अनेक गुण विद्यमान हैं ॥१६९।। हे कल्याणि, तू लक्ष्मी और सरस्वतीकी सपत्नी (सौत) होकर सैकड़ों सुखांका अनुभव करती हुई चिरकाल तक उसके हृदयरूपी घरमें निवास कर ॥१७०॥ यदि सामान्य (गुणोंकी बराबरी) की अपेक्षा विचार किया जाये तो लक्ष्मी और सरस्वती दोनों ही तेरी उपमाको नहीं पा सकतीं, क्योंकि तू अनोखी लक्ष्मी है और अनोखी ही सरस्वती है । जिसके पत्ते फटे हुए हैं, जो सदा संकुचित (संकीर्ण) होता रहता है और जो परागरूपी धूलिसे सहित है ऐसे कमलरूपी झोंपड़ीमें जिस लक्ष्मीका जन्म हुआ है उसे लक्ष्मी नहीं कह सकते वह तो अलक्ष्मी है-दरिद्रा है। भला, तुम्हें उसकी उपमा कैसे दी जा सकती है ? इसी प्रकार उच्छिष्ट तथा चञ्चल जिहाके अग्रभागरूपी पल्लवपर जिसका जन्म हुआ है वह सरस्वती भी नीच कुलमें उत्पन्न होनेके कारण तेरी उपमाको प्राप्त नहीं हो सकती। क्योंकि तेरा कुल अतिशय शुद्ध है-उत्तम कुलमें ही तू उत्पन्न हुई है।।१७१-१७३।। हे लताङ्गि (लताके समान कृश अंगोंको धारण करनेवाली) जिस प्रकार पवित्र मानससरोवरमें राजहंसी क्रीडा किया करती है उसी प्रकार तू भी ललिताङ्ग (वनजंघ) के पवित्र
और एकान्त मनमें अनेक वर्षों तक क्रीडा कर ॥१७४।। विधाता तुम दोनोंका योग्य समागमकर कृतकृत्यपनेको प्राप्त हो; क्योंकि यदि वह ऐसा नहीं करता अर्थात् तुम दोनोंका समागम नहीं करता तो लोकनिन्दासे कैसे छूटता ? ॥१७५।। इसलिए हे भद्रे, धैर्य धर, तेरा पति शीघ्र ही आयेगा, देख, तेरे पतिके आगमनके लिए सारा नगर कैसा अतिशय कौतुकपूर्ण हो रहा है
