आदिपुराणम्
कचित् त्किंचिनिगूढान्तःप्रकृतं चित्तरञ्जनम् । तद्बजादाय धूर्तानां मनःसंमोहकारणम् ॥१७१॥ 'पतिब्रवाश्च ये मिथ्या 'यात्योद्धतबुद्धयः । तान् स्मितांशुपटच्छमान कुरु गढार्थसाटे ॥१२॥ इत्युक्त्वा पण्डितावोचत् तपित्ताश्वासनं वचः । स्मितांशु मारीपुजः किरतीवोद्गमाअलिम् ॥१७३॥ मयि सत्यां मनस्तापो मा भूत् ते कलमापिणि । लसत्यां चूतमार्या कोकिलायाः कुतोऽसुखम् ॥१७॥ कवे(रिव सुश्लिष्टमर्थ ते मृगये पतिम् । सखि लक्ष्मीरिवोद्योगशालिनं पुरुषं परम् ॥१७५॥ घटयिष्यामि ते कार्य पटुधीरहमुद्यता । दुर्घटं नास्ति मे किंचित् प्रतीहीह जगत्त्रये ॥१७६॥ ----- नानाभरणविन्यासमतो धारय सुन्दरि । 'वसन्तलतिकेवोद्यत्प्रवालाहरसंकुलम् ॥१७७॥ तदत्र संशयो नैव "कार्यः कार्यस्य साधने । श्रीमतीप्रार्थितार्थानां नन सिद्धिरसंशयम् ॥१७॥ इत्युक्त्वा पण्डिताश्वास्य तां तदर्पितपट्टकम् । गृहीत्वागमदाश्वेव महापूतजिनालयम् ॥१७९॥ यः सुदूरोच्छ्रितैः कूटैर्लक्ष्यते रनमासुरः । पातालादुत्फणस्तोषात् किमप्युद्यन्निवाहिराट् ॥१०॥
वर्णसार्यसंभूत"चित्रकर्मान्विता अपि । यद्भित्तयो जगश्चित्तहारिण्यो गणिका इव ॥११॥ तुझसे एक उपाय बताती हूँ। वह यह है कि मैंने पूर्वभवसम्बन्धी चरित्रको बतानेवाला एक चित्रपट बनाया है ।। १७० ।। उसमें कहीं-कहीं चित्त प्रसन्न करनेवाले गूढ़ विषय भी लिखे गये हैं । इसके सिवाय वह धूर्त मनुष्योंके मनको भ्रान्तिमें डालनेवाला है । हे सखि, तू इसे लेकर जा॥१७१।। धृष्टताके कारण उद्धत बुद्धिको धारण करनेवाले जो पुरुष झूठमूठ ही यदि अपने-आपको पति कहें-मेरा पति बनना चाहें उन्हें गूढ़ विषयोंके संकटमें हास्यकिरणरूपी वस्त्रसे आच्छादित करना अर्थात् चित्रपट देखकर झूठमूठ ही हमारा पति बनना चाहें उनसे तू गूढ़ विषय पूछना जब वे उत्तर न दे सकें तो अपने मन्द हास्यसे उन्हें लजित करना॥१७२।। इस प्रकार जब श्रीमती कह चुकी तब ईषत् हास्यकी किरणोंके बहाने पुष्पांजलि बिखेरती हुई पण्डिता सखी, उसके चित्तको आश्वासन देनेवाले वचन कहने लगी ॥१७॥ हे मधुरभाषिणि, मेरे रहते हुए तेरे चित्तको सन्ताप नहीं हो सकता क्योंकि आम्रमंजरीके रहते हुए कोयलको दुःख कैसे हो सकता है ? ॥१७४।। हे सखि, जिस प्रकार कविकी बुद्धि सुश्लिष्ट-अनेक भावोंको सूचित करनेवाले उत्तम अर्थको और लक्ष्मी जिस प्रकार उद्योगशाली मनुष्यको खोज लाती है उसी प्रकार मैं भी तेरे पतिको खोज लाती हूँ॥१७॥हे सखि, मैं चतुर बुद्धिकी धारक हूँ तथा कार्य करनेमें हमेशा उद्यत रहती हूँ इसलिए तेरा यह कार्य अवश्य सिद्ध कर दूंगी। तू यह निश्चित जान कि मुझे इन तीनों लोकोंमें कोई भी कार्य कठिन नहीं है॥१७६।। इसलिए हे सुन्दरि, जिस प्रकार माधवी लता प्रकट होते हुए प्रवालों और अंकुरोंके समूहको धारण करती है उसी प्रकार अब तू अनेक प्रकारके आभरणोंके विन्यासको धारण कर ॥१७७।। इस कार्यकी सिद्धिमें तुझे संशय नहीं करना चाहिए क्योंकि श्रीमतीके द्वारा चाहे हुए पदार्थोंकी सिद्धि निःसन्देह ही होती है ॥१७८। वह पण्डिता इस प्रकार कहकर तथा उस श्रीमतीको समझाकर उसके द्वारा दिये हुए चित्रपटको लेकर शीघ्र ही महापूत नामक अथवा अत्यन्त पवित्र जिनमन्दिर गयी ॥१७९।। वह जिनमन्दिर रत्नोंकी किरणोंसे शोभायमान अपने ऊँचे उठे हुए शिखरोंसे ऐसा जान पड़ता था मानो.फण ऊँचा किये हुए शेषनाग ही सन्तुष्ट होकर पाताललोकसे निकला हो ॥१८०॥ उस मन्दिरकी दीवालें ठीक वेश्याओंके समान थीं क्योंकि जिस प्रकार वेश्याएँ वर्णसंकरता (ब्राह्मणादि वर्गों के साथ व्यभिचार)से उत्पन्न हुई तथा अनेक आश्चर्यकारी कार्योंसे सहित
