तृतीयं पर्व ताराफेनग्रहग्राहवियरसागरमध्यगौ । चामीकरमयौ दिग्यावम्भःक्रीडागृहाविव ॥६॥ सद्वृत्तत्वादसमत्वात् साधुवर्गानुकारिणौ । शीततीकरत्वाच सदसद्भूमिपाविव ॥६२॥ प्रतिश्रुतिरिति ख्यातस्तदा कुलधरोऽप्रिमः । विभ्रल्लोकातिगं तेजः प्रजानां नेत्रवद् बभौ ॥६३॥ पल्यस्य दशमो भागस्तस्यायुर्जिनदेशितम् । धनुःसहस्रमुत्सेधः शतैरधिकमष्टमिः ॥६॥ जाज्ज्वल्यमानमकुटो लसन्मकरकुण्डलः । कनकाद्रिरिवोत्तुङ्गो विभ्राणो हारनिरिम् ॥६५॥ नानामरणमामारभासुरोदारविग्रहः । प्रोत्सर्पत्तेजसा स्वेन निर्मसितविग्रहः ॥६६॥ महान् जगद्गृहोन्मानमानदण्ड इवोच्छितः । दधजन्मान्तराभ्यासजनितं बोधमिधीः ॥६७॥ स्फुरदन्तांशुसलिलैर्मुहुः प्रक्षालयन् दिशः । प्रजानां प्रीणनं वाक्यं सौध रसमिवोगिरन् ॥६॥ अदृष्टपूवौं तौ दृष्ट्वा सभीतान् भोगभूमिजान् । भोतेर्निवर्तयामास तत्स्वरूपमिति ब्रुवन् ॥१९॥ एतौ तौ प्रतिदृश्येते सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ ग्रहो। ज्योतिराप्रमापायात् कालहासवशोद्भवात् ॥७॥ सदाप्यधिनभोमार्ग भ्राम्यतोऽमू महायुती । न वस्ताभ्यां भयं किंचिदतो मा भैष्ट भद्रकाः ॥७॥
और बुध, मंगल आदि प्रहरूपी मगरमच्छोंसे भरे हुए आकाशरूपी समुद्रके मध्यमें सुवर्णके दो मनोहर जलक्रीड़ागृह ही बने हों। अथवा सद्वृत्त-गोलाकार (पक्षमें सदाचारी) और असंग-अकेले ( पक्षमें परिग्रहरहित ) होनेके कारण साधुसमूहका अनुकरण कर रहे हों अथवा शीतकर-शीतल किरणोंसे युक्त (पक्षमें अल्प टैक्स लेनेवाला) और तीव्रकर-उष्ण किरणोंसे युक्त (पक्षमें अधिक टैक्स लेनेवाला) होनेके कारण क्रमसे न्यायी और अन्यायी राजाका ही अनुकरण कर रहे हों ।।५८-६२॥ उस समम वहाँ प्रतिश्रुति नामसे प्रसिद्ध पहले कुलकर विद्यमान थे जो कि सबसे अधिक तेजस्वी थे और प्रजाजनोंके नेत्रके समान शोभायमान थे अर्थात् नेत्रके समान प्रजाजनोंको हितकारी मार्ग बतलाते थे ॥६३॥ जिनेन्द्रदेवने उनकी आयु पल्यके दसवें भाग और ऊँचाई एक हजार आठ सौ धनुष बतलायी है ॥६४। उनके मस्तकपर प्रकाशमान मुकुट शोभायमान हो रहा था, कानोंमें सुवर्णमय कुण्डल चमक रहे थे और वे स्वयं मेरु पर्वतके समान ऊँचे थे इसलिए उनके वक्षःस्थलपर पड़ा हुआ रत्नोंका हार झरनेके समान मालूम होता था। उनका उन्नत और श्रेष्ठ शरीर नाना प्रकारके आभूषणोंकी कान्तिके भारसे अतिशय प्रकाशमान हो रहा था, उन्होंने अपने बढ़ते हुए तेजसे सूर्यको भी तिरस्कृत कर दिया था। वे बहुत ही ऊँचे थे इसलिए ऐसे मालूम होते थे मानो जगतरूपी घरकी ऊँचाईको नापनेके लिए खड़े किये गये मापदण्ड ही हों। इसके सिवाय बे जन्मान्तरके संस्कारसे प्राप्त हुए अवधिज्ञानको भी धारण किये हुए थे इसलिए वही सबमें उत्कृष्ट बुद्धिमान गिने जाते थे ॥६५-६७॥ वे देदीप्यमान दाँतोंकी किरणोंरूपी जलसे दिशाओंका बार-बार प्रक्षालन करते हुए जब प्रजाको सन्तुष्ट करनेवाले वचन बोलते थे तब ऐसे मालूम होते थे मानो अमृतका रस ही प्रकट कर रहे हों। पहले कभी नहीं दिखनेवाले सूर्य और चन्द्रमाको देखकर भयभीत हुए भोगभूमिज मनुष्योंको उन्होंने उनका निम्नलिखित स्वरूप बतलाकर भयरहित किया था ॥६८-६९।। उन्होंने कहा-हे भद्र पुरुषो, तुम्हें जो ये दिख रहे हैं वे सूर्य, चन्द्रमा नामके ग्रह हैं, ये महाकान्तिके धारक है तथा आकाशमें सर्वदा घूमते रहते हैं । अभीतक इनका प्रकाश ज्योतिरङ्ग जातिके कल्पवृक्षोंके प्रकाशसे तिरोहित रहता था इसलिए नहीं दिखते थे परन्तु अब चूँकि कालदोषके
