और जहां उदासी हो, वहां आनन्द हो। हे दैवीय मालिक, मुझे यह वरदान दीजिए किमैं इतना अधिक सान्त्वना न मांग, जितना कि मैं सान्त्वना करूं। मैं इतना अधिक दूसरों द्वारा समझा जाने के लिए उत्सुक न हूं, जितना कि मैं दूसरों को समझू। मै इतना अधिक प्यार पाने के लिए उत्सुक न हूं, जितना कि मैं प्यार करूं। क्योंकि दूसरों को देने से ही हमें प्राप्ति होती है। क्षमा करने से ही, क्षमा मिलती है।
