આ નાતિક ગામ કર્યાં હતું એના સંબંધમાં અમે નીચેના ઉદ્ધરણાથી એક નિર્ણય ઉપર આવી શકીશું—
(1) Natika (V, L. Nadika-Natika) A locality in the vajji country on the high way between kotigama and vesali.
અર્થાત્ જ્ઞાતિક (નાદિક, નાતિક)—વજજી દેશની અંદર વૈશાલી અને કાટિગામની વચમાં એક સ્થાન છે.

(ર) આજ ડિક્શનેરી એક્ પાલી પ્રોપર નેમ્સ ’ ના બીજા ભાગમાં પૃષ્ઠ ૭૨૩ ઉપર રાજગૃડ અને કપિલવસ્તુની વચમાં આવેલા સ્થાનાને ‘મહાપરિનિશ્વાણુ સુત્ત ' પ્રમાણે ગણાવ્યા છે.
