सम्राट ने महीनों तक अहिंसा पलवाई थी अमुक महीने में किसी भी जीव का बध-हिंसा न करने का हुकम निकाला था देखिये इनके शब्द

भावार्थ "इन दिनों (ही. सं. ६६१-६६६-ईस. १५८३) में नये हुकम निकाले गये कितनेक दिन जैसे कि रविवार सूर्य का दिन होने से सर्व रविवार, फरवर दिन, महीने के शुरुअात के १८ दिन, अवेन मास कि जिसमें सम्राट अकबर का जन्म हुवा था वह सारा महीना, उन्हीं दिनों में हिन्दुओं को खुश करने के लिये समस्त भारत में सर्वथा जीव हिंसा का निषेध किया गया था, इस हुकम के विरुद्ध जाने वाले को सख्त सजा-गर्दन मारने की सजा दी जाती थी" इसमें जहां
