કાંકરે કાંકરે પાળ બંધાય, તે ટીંપે ટીંપે સરાવર ભરાય.
કાડી કાડી સંચતાં રૂપી થાય. રાઇ ઉપર મરી ઠાંસે ત્યારે ધર ચાલે. દાહરા—ટીંપે ટીંપે સરાવર, લકડ કડકે વહાણુ, પાળ કાંકરે કાંકરે, દાણે દાણે ખાણ. Small streams make large rivers. Sands form a mountain.

૧ ગાંગડીનાને કડકા, ૨ પ્રથમ લાક્ડાની પાટી ઊપર ધુળના ઝીણા ભૂકા કરી પછી લાકડાની ક્લેમ કે ખીલા જેવી લેખણથી આલેખે તેને વતરણાં કહે છે.
